Budious Posted January 11, 2008 Share Posted January 11, 2008 Effective from patch Tuesday, 1/8/2008, my VMware Virtual NICs have stopped functioning properly. I can only imagine this had something to do with the TCP/IP Stack patch marked critical, I installed the x64 version for Windows XP x64 (2003) Professional. Upon reboot, all my VMware virtual NICs show packets received but 0 packets on the NIC properties screen of the Windows 2008 Server RC1 virtual image that is running, no traffic is able to move outbound to the network from the virtual machine. I searched around the google before posting here but didn't find any other KB articles about the issue, perhaps it is not related to the TCP/IP stack patch but it is too coincidental as timing is concerned.
