I've been off the WoW crack for 3 months now.. it's hard, and threads like this don't help but I'm taking it a day at a time.

I was playing for 30+ hours a week in the US on Stonemaul, I had a 70 demon lock with pre-Kara gear. Then when I came back to the UK 10+ hours a week on a server I forget the name of. I had to start all over though, as I couldn't transfer my US character onto an EU server.

I setup a PS on my LAN and made a 225 char of each race and spec with T5 gear, solo'd Gruul's Lair then deleted everything WoW related from my machine.

The game is fun and takes a lot of hard work and effort. You will be very confused to start out with. It's always great to have a friend who is willing to help you. I want to start up again as well.

The game is about $15 a month, newest expansion pack is Burning Crusade. Even with the pack, you can't access the content until you are level 60.

False, you can access the content. there is a new race "blood elf" that you can only get with the expansion

Pretty intimidating for me. I'm an old school FPS. The numbers of people who play and who visit Neowin are amazing.
