J.J. Abrams' Star Trek

Recommended Posts

Same here. I found the original series to be boring and "old". The movies didn't entertain me that much either and I'm a huge fan of Star Trek. However, this movie has got me so excited. The only time I've been this excited was waiting in line to watch Star Trek: Nemesis in theatres.

Below you can find the links to a new trailer for J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie. Just so you know it is basically the same trailer but with a different ending which includes Spock so click on your desired p and bask in the glory once again but a little different. Enjoy!

OMG the REAL SPOCK! thats awesome! he is so old :(

He's not THAT old, he only looks THAT old because they're depicting him as THAT old in the movie... if you look at the trailer where he's kneeling next to a woman, he's not that old looking.

Unless he's that old and the scene with the woman is of him being depicted as younger..

That's not him, that's Ben Cross playing Sarek with Amanda...

Majel Barrett-Roddenberry will reprise her role as the voice of the starship Enterprise computer in J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Trek" feature. She's voiced the role in four "Star Trek" TV series and three films.

These ships looked a bit familiar.

You think that's familiar? Try watching a certain episode of voyager. The 'Nightingale', it's an episode in the 7th season. The ship that Harry Kim commands looks exactly like a certain federation attack fighter! haha!

Here is the medical ship he commands:

And here is the ship they copied from:

Federation_Peregrine.jpg

^ Hahaha! I remember that. The episode startled me because I thought they found a Federation attack fighter in the delta quadrant.

Anyway, it's nice to know that this movie will star Leonard Nimoy and Majel Barrett-Roddenberry (voice only). I'm sure a lot of non-Star Trek fans will watch this movie. Some friends of mine who don't like Star Trek said they plan on watching it simply because of how good the trailer looked. :p

so majel barrett is going to be the computer voice aboard the enterprise? even if she isn't the ship doesn't look like it did in TOS :s

it seems this film isn't supposed to be canon but more a re-imagining. i don't think that's necessarily a bad thing but it not being canon is disappointing.

but she was the voice in all the other trek series/movies. anyway some re-invention is a good thing. even if it isnt true to the cannon.
