RIOTERS have hit the filming of the new James Bond movie.

Daniel Craig stars as 007 in Quantum of Solace which is being made near the Presidential Palace in Panama City, Panama.

But roads were closed by violent protests after police shot dead a union member.

A spokesman for film-maker EON Productions said: ?None of the cast has been harmed. We hope filming can go ahead now.?

Quantum of Solace, the next James Bond film, is to be released earlier than expected - on 31 October - its producers have announced.

The 22nd film in the series, and Daniel Craig's second outing as 007, had been due for release on 7 November.

The title of the film, which follows on from 2006's Casino Royale, is taken from a short story published by Bond creator Ian Fleming in 1960.

Filming has already taken place in Panama and the United States.

The main film shoot, with Marc Forster directing, began at Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire, in January.

i like the cold feel of craig's bond character quite a bit... thats what ultimately made the movie so great for me besides the general plot and the way it was shot etc which helped it quite a bit to... with the darker feel to it vs previous bonds (which i still like :) ).

Yeah, like he said. Craig is the much better actor in this case. He does have the more "cold-hearted" thing down pat. The production quality on the Bond movies is much higher than the Bourne movies. I also think Damon's take on the Bourne character, if it was to have any semblance to the book, is not on the money. At least with Bond, they mold it a bit more to the actor. I guess Flemming's legacy of making Bond movies will live on. I only wish Q was still alive. I found Casino much more entertaining than the Bourne film. The intro with the crane, the jumping around, etc, etc. alone was worth it.

Come on this is a direct sequel get Chris Cornell to sing the theme again, it was pretty good and a lot better than the last few themes used in the Brosnan films.

couldn't agree more, the intro to the previous bond movie with Cornells song was simply part of the whole new bond experience after brosnan left, which IMO, was getting kinda boring...

Anyway... They'll never let a same artist do two continous soundtracks just for the sake of not being "boring", But i'd like it to be more of a rockish theme than madonnas Electric shizzle.

    • Nvidia GeForce NOW gains support for seven more games as discounts continue by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe There's a brand-new update rolling out to Nvidia's GeForce NOW streaming service, and like every week, that means more games have received support on the platform. This week's drop has additions like Aphelion and Pro Cycling Manager 26 attached to it. Don't forget that the GeForce NOW summer sale is still active too. This limited-time offer drops the 12-month Performance membership from $99.99 to $64.99, saving members $35. At the same time, the 12-month Ultimate membership is currently going for $129.99, dropping the price by $70 from the original $199.99. Moreover, Nvidia reiterated that support for GOG single sign-in and game library is incoming this summer, joining stores like Steam, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, and Xbox. "Connect supported game store accounts and stream titles with GeForce RTX power. Games that include cloud-save functionality help keep progress intact across devices," added the company. "Start a game on one screen, pick up where playtime left off on another, and spend less time managing installs and storage space." Here are the games joining GeForce NOW's supported list this week: Embers of the Uncrowned Demo (New release on Steam, available 13) Pro Cycling Manager 26 (New release on Steam, available June 15) Aphelion (Steam) Citizen Sleeper (Epic Game Store, Free from June 18-25) Megastore Simulator (Steam) OPERATOR (Steam) Super Meat Boy 3D (Xbox, available on Game Pass) Keep in mind that, unlike subscription services like Game Pass or EA Play, a copy of a game must be owned by the GeForce NOW member (or at least have a license via PC Game Pass) to start playing via Nvidia's cloud servers. There is also a limit to how many hours subscribers can use the service per month, with extra time being purchasable in chunks.
