No, it uninstalls the SP3 updates.

No I mean I have an outdate copy of xp, and I'm lazy and don't wan to install all the updates, so if I install SP3 and uninstall it, will my xp be updated afterwards?

he just answered your question.. any updates to windows that came with the sp3 will come off with it once uninstalled

If you're too lazy to install the updates, why not just leave Automatic Updates to do it overnight? Unless you're on dial-up, the updates should be downloaded and installed by the time you get up in the morning.

Allegedly. Another school of thought says that it isn't coming until mid-April. We'll find out soon.

Same here. I tried RyanVM, which seemed nice, but still left me with 60 MB of downloads from the update site. There should be an easier way to integrate updates into an offline installation source.

Anybody having problems that installed this? I installed it on my laptop which had SP2 installed and now its just in an endless loop of booting for about 10-15 seconds then starts over, I have tried booting to safe mode but it does the same thing. I am hoping im not alone as that laptop had some very important files on it.

Installed fine for me. I see no performance difference what so ever over SP2. No clue what the hype is, but oh well, it installed ok.
