Yusuf M. Veteran Posted January 30, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 30, 2008 Hello Peshmarga, I believe someone here was getting the same error as you. From what I remember, it's an issue caused by integrated sound cards and Windows Vista. The member who had this problem fixed it by "fiddling around" with his sound settings. I'm not sure what he did but go here and look under "I cannot run iw3mp.exe / iw3sp.exe". Hopefully one of the suggestions will help. (Y)
Viserov
^ If the above doesn't work, try plugging in something into your microphone jack, even if it's a pair of headphones. That's what I had to end up doing to get COD4 to work on my Vista laptop.
shakey
if its not an audio error, it might be what i was getting when i first got the game. There is apparently a file they used that didnt like certain setups. There is a replacement file in COD2 someone found that makes everything work great. You will have to look it up on the COD forums i believe, but it should be there. Just a single file to replace from COD2 and it will run smooth.
