kjordan2001
Because XP tries to be better and provide a generic driver fit to your graphics card :shifty:

Steven
I hit display all drivers and went through every category, there was nothing thats becuase the only use for it is when Windows can't find a driver for your hardware. why do you want a generic driver, just go get the driver you're supposed to use. or just work in safe mode, if you love that crappy driver so much.. .
kjordan2001
Yeah, I don't understand why you want a generic one so bad....do you have such a terrible graphics card that no one supports it? :o
radioboy
I've got an ATI Radeon 8500DV. So that's fine. I was using an S3 ViRGE card for a second screen, but when I got the ATI Radeon I had to make that the main card in the BIOS, so the S3 card didn't work. I just came across this ancient TriGem Televideo PCI video card that it sees, but the only drivers are for 95/98. This is for a second monitor that's from 1994 and only goes up to 800x600
