insanekiwi Posted January 26, 2003 Share Posted January 26, 2003 everyone knows that built-in xp imageviewer? simple fast n stuff. for some reason all my images have phoenix icons but if i open them they are opened with xp's imageviewer. how do i restroe the default xp jpg icons? morganpugh84 Posted January 26, 2003 Share Posted January 26, 2003 run these commands from the run box regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll then regsvr32 shimgvw.dll what this does is UNregister the Image and Fax Viewer and then register it again. This will *hopefully* sort all your problems out. If it doesnt go to folder options and then JPG (and any other extensions that have the problem) and then change the icon for it.
