Reuters: Toshiba to exit HD DVD, end format war

Most Blu-Ray fans will tell you that "Interactive content" means nothing, it's not worth it and when you buy/rent a movie, it's only to watch the movie.

I know, and it's a very tired argument. Take for example 300. Watching that with the PiP of the same scenes but without the CGI, that was just a touch of magic. One of the best features that ever came with a disk, it was just so interesting. What did the Blu version have? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And it's pretty much the same today, Blu movies come with a pitiful amount of extras.

Blu needs HDi. Devs don't like working with the bloated java code, and the BD group are *still* changing the goalposts so on several movies development work that went on for months to add some of the extras found on HDDVD had to be scrapped.
