red.
WWE announced during tuesday's edition of ECW on Sci-Fi that next week's special three-hour edition of Raw will feature a Fatal 4-Way Match to determine who will fill the vacated WWE Championship. The participants will be John Cena, Triple H, The Big Show, and Randy Orton.Superman...err...I mean John Cena better not win. I can't stand him as champion. I'm going with HHH on this one. I wish they'd surprise us and make Big Show win. Don't really want to see any of the other guys as champions again. Rappy Veteran Posted June 11, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 11, 2009 Yeah I wouldn't mind it if Show wins as much as I hate show I don't want an Orton/HHH reign or Cena come to that. AgentGray
HHH makes the most logical sense, though, considering he can basically be a stand in for batista in the angle they're working right now... though Big Show taking the title... ugh... would lead to Cena being on main event level again... LOC Veteran Posted June 11, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 11, 2009 I hate to break it to ya Rolith, but Cena is in the main event. Regardless what program he is in currently, or whether he's champion or not, he's about as high up the main event ladder as you can get in WWE. I would personally love to see Big Show win it. He deserves another title run. But whether or not they'd involve Cena (which they obviously would) is another story. I also think MVP and The Miz should be involved somehow, since they are starting to get main event pushes already. RageOfFury
I've been reading on various wrestling news sites that Batista isn't actually injured. The whole reason he is "gone for 4 months" is that he violated the WWE Wellness Policy. So he is suspended and since Batista is a huge superstar, WWE are protecting him by coming up with this injury story. LOC Veteran Posted June 16, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 16, 2009 Too bad CM Punk wasn't legit injured. I was happy for a fraction of a second. Wow, you want a wrestler to actually get injured. That's a first for me. I've seen people hate on wrestlers before, but never actually want them to get hurt. :( For those that didn't hear about it, or read about it on the wrestling sites, an incident happened after RAW went off the air last night while HHH was posing in the ring. I'll just paste the report directly: I have been a fan of wrestling for a long time. I've gone to ever wwe live event within a 100 mile radius of charlotte for the last 5 years. Before that I traveled to the nearest location wherever Raw or smackdown was being held. I can honestly say tonights RAW was the most fun I've had in a long time. I've been a fan since I was little. I'm now 30+ and I still turn into a kid when I go to live events. I saw something tonight in charlotte that made me more of a fan of Triple H than I ever was before. It had nothing to do with wrestling or politics or simply getting over with the fans. It was pure class. After the matches HHH threw a T-shirt into the stands. As usual a crowd scambled to get the T-shirt. Of course, someone managed to get it. However, there was a small kid around 10-12 that got caught up in the melee. The kid was knocked down and started crying and laying on the floor. The entire time this was happening HHH didn't take his eyes off the situation. He immediately went straight threw the crowd to the little boy, picked him up and took him back into the ring. He then gave the boy a pep talk and motioned him to pose with him around the ring. They went around the ring posing. The boy was so happy you would have thought it was Christmas. Any pain he may have felt or no matter how upset he may have been, this definitely made up for it. HHH then took the boy back, circled around the ring and then came back to the boy to make sure he was OK. This to me was a class act and made me a fan of the person along with being a fan of the wrestler. Props to HHH! Just my 2 cents. Wrestlezone And here is a picture of the kid HHH brought into the ring to make up for the idiot adults who nearly trampled him for a sweaty elbow pad or whatever: Wrestlezone Say what you will about HHH using his wife to gain power, and his politics and what not. He's a class act in my book. Same with Cena. They both truly love the sport and love entertaining the fans. Especially kids, as I'm sure that kid will be talking about this little event for quite a long time. I don't honestly think he respects wrestling in general, and for that I choose to not respect him on a human level. Also, during the highlights of last night's match, even JR said his actions were uncalled for when he pushed hardy's lower spine into the steel steps. He didn't push him down like they usually do. There have been plenty of wrestlers over the years (going on 30 now, I'm so old) that I disliked either in the ring professionally (either because they stunk in the ring or because they didn't respect the biz to begin with) or out of the ring because of personal issues/activities/whatever. For example, Scott Hall. Total lush, ruined his career, was a threat in the ring (especially when he wrestled drunk) etc. I still never hoped he hurt himself. Take Sid Vicious also. There's a guy I disliked out of the ring for various reasons. But when he jumped off the turnbuckle in WCW that time and destroyed his foot/leg like that I was totally upset and horrified. Now I understand CM Punk isn't the greatest ring worker, and certainly out of the ring he has issues as well. And I understand your feeling on the matter. I just would never want to see him or anyone else get hurt. I am getting more and more respect for HHH as a person and as a wrestler - seeing a lot beyond the wring persona and the internet smark gossip. I met him (and Chris Jericho, my personal savior) back in 2002 I think, just when he came back from his leg injury. He was so awesome. Spent loads of time talking to everyone who was there at the autograph session thingie, posed for pictures and didn't leave until everyone was happy. Literally. Like I said, say what you will about him, he's a class act if you ask me. Gio Takahashi
I'm pretty sure HHH and Cena work to cheer the fans up, especially the past five years. Couple of years ago, RAW did a house show in Fort Myers, where I live. Me and my friends went there, and they even did a DX part for the fans, and had the shirt canon and fired several shirt to the fans. Also, speaking of house show, TNA did a house show here as well last year, unlike WWE superstars when they just packed up and left when they're done. TNA superstars actually sticked around after the show and came out to the arena for photo-op and autographs. It was great. While I enjoy WWE more so than TNA, if had to pick between WWE and TNA for House show, I'd pick TNA.
