If he's juiced to hell, he sure needs to gain weight or something. He's thinner than a cracker at this point, and hardly looks like he's buffed up that much. Before we go convicting him of roids, remember that he does have serious injuries (including a broken neck among others) that may just require the use of HGH. I'm no doctor, but I'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt before turning him into the next Benoit or something. Plus, he DOES have legal scripts for the HGH.

Watched the PPV tonight, I can't believe how small Kurt Angle has become. he's almost a damn twig. Me and my friends were so shocked at the changes.

Yeah like I said, if he's juicing, man it's some crappy juice he's taking lol

I could break him in half for gods sake.

Who else will win the TNA title...Angle...the face of TNA!

I think the face of TNA is AJ Styles. But, apparently the bookers don't. Plus, they could have easily give the title to Sting in the match, or god forbid Matt Morgan (they are grooming him for the world title anyways).

Either way, you have someone who was just in jail for violating a protection order, found with HGH (legally though) and a gold medal olmpyic winner. Come on TNA, gimmie a break.

Let us not forget, RVD was WWE Champ (finally!) and he got nailed for what speeding or smoking weed/drinking in a car and THE NEXT DAY literally he dropped the belt and was suspended. Yeah.

Variety has a new article where they take a look at the WWE RAW guest-host gimmick and reveal some future candidates for the spot that have yet to be mentioned before.

The article claims WWE has successfully become part of the "talk show circuit" where hollywood's finest stops by to promote whatever they have going on right now. The article talks about the Jeremy Piven and Seth Green hosted shows, quoting Stephanie McMahon talking about how this raises awareness among the brand in Hollywood and will hopefully translate to new viewers.

Variety claims the stunt is successful thus far, claiming the show has increased by 10% in viewership since the angle started.

The Variety piece claims the following celebrities are confirmed as future RAW guest hosts: Bob Barker, Al Sharpton, Nancy O'Dell, Floyd Mayweather and LeBron James.

Celebrities in talks with WWE to host RAW, according to Variety include: Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson, the Osbournes, Danny DeVito, Regis Philbin, Kelly Ripa, Jimmy Fallon, Rachael Ray, MC Hammer, Woody Harrelson, Serena Williams and Ashton Kutcher.

UGH BLECH

Yeah if your a champ and you get done for anything criminal you lose the belt and your like midcard for a few months or away from the screen that **** won't happen in TNA because without Angle there is no real good main event..

So true man, and I've said that before in this thread (I think). It's really a bad situation when you have someone who just got bailed out of jail 24 hours earlier retaining your biggest most important title in the company. I dunno, call me old fashioned, but if Hogan would have gotten nailed for that nothing would have happened, same with Stone Cold or the Rock. But Angle is NOT Hogan, Austin or the Rock. He may be an amazing wrestler (which he is) but he IS NOT one of the biggest names ever in wrestling.

Guys, is there any current diva in WWE which is hotter than Trish stratus? :shifty:

Hmmm, no I don't think so. The only one I think is hotter is Mickie James. I just saw some pics of her where she was on the beach or something and, my, god, in, heaven. I love belly buttons :(

Post match interview with Mick Foley (after he got stiched up, which Youtube already removed, sorry). This is why Foley is still GOD.

WWE diva "Victoria" planning move to MMA

Lisa Marie Varon is heading to the world of mixed martial arts.

Varon, perhaps better known as a World Wrestling Entertainment "diva" named Victoria, plans to make her pro MMA debut in the next year.

Her manager, J.T. Stewart, who also manages former UFC champion Rich Franklin, discussed the fighter's plans with MMAjunkie.com's Dann Stupp for the Dayton Daily News.

The WWE has sent two notables to MMA in recent years, including current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and undefeated heavyweight prospect Bobby Lashley.

However, unlike Lesnar and Lashley, who both had very successful collegiate wrestling careers, Varon is largely starting from scratch. The former fitness and bodybuilding competitor began studying jiu-jitsu earlier this year and is currently training other aspects of MMA in Louisville, Ky.

Despite Varon's recent debut with WWE rival Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), Stewart said the nonrestrictive contract will allow his client to wrestle and compete in MMA simultaneously. (In fact, Lashley also recently signed a contract with TNA and debuted with the Spike TV-televised promotion back in April.)

While Varon is certainly marketable and athletic, she has one factor working against her: her age. At 38 years old, she will likely have a limited shelf life in MMA.

Regardless, Stewart said he hopes eventually to get Varon in Strikeforce, the only major U.S. promotion that promotes women's fights. Strikeforce hosted the historic Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos vs. Gina Carano event this past weekend, and the organization has recently bolstered it's female roster with notables such as Marloes Coenen, Erin Toughill, Sarah Kaufman and Miesha Tate.

However, Stewart and Varon have their sights set on another Strikforce-contracted fighter: Kim Couture (1-1), the ex-wife of former UFC champ Randy Couture.

She didn't really leave WWE, she was more or less forced out like Lita and all the others over the last few years. She also didn't want to have such a hectic schedule, and figured TNA would be much better for her (which it is, they only do like 250 dates a year, compared to like 320 with WWE).

Not to mention, TNA has the best women's wrestlers for awhile now. Though, Gail Kim and Mickie James and a couple others in WWE are pretty damned good.

I agree Mickie James is like the second coming of Trish Stratus although not to compare. I've liked Gail Kim but i haven't really seen much to like her a whole lot. I used to love Lita rock the ring but she is retired now. I used to love Dawn Marie but i don't remember if it was because she could wrestle or if she was just hot. She is from NJ!

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling has decided to let Don West go as an announcer. This week's television tapings will be his last broadcasts for the company. Mike Tenay and Taz will be the announcing team going forward.

West will remain with the company and received a promotion in the merchandising department.

    • An actual cosmic "Eye of Sauron" had been looking straight at us all along by Sayan Sen Image by Kovin P. Vasquez via Pexels | Not representative An international team of researchers has solved a long-standing mystery surrounding a distant blazar known as PKS 1424+240, helping explain why it produces some of the brightest high-energy gamma rays and cosmic neutrinos ever observed despite appearing to have a relatively slow-moving jet. The findings were published on June 6 in Astronomy & Astrophysics Letters. The study addresses a broader challenge in astrophysics: understanding how extreme cosmic objects accelerate particles to very high energies and produce very high-energy (VHE) photons and neutrinos. PKS 1424+240 is located billions of light-years from Earth. It has attracted attention for years because it is both a powerful source of VHE gamma rays and the brightest known neutrino-emitting blazar in the sky, according to observations by the IceCube Neutrino Observatory. It is also associated with one of the strongest peaks in IceCube's nine-year neutrino sky map A blazar is a type of active galactic nucleus powered by a supermassive black hole that pulls in surrounding matter and launches jets of plasma moving close to the speed of light. What makes blazars unique is their orientation. One of their jets points almost directly toward Earth, making them appear exceptionally bright across the electromagnetic spectrum and allowing scientists to study some of the most extreme physical processes in the Universe. The scientists exclaimed it's like the 'Eye of Sauron' in deep space. Usually, the brightest gamma-ray-emitting blazars are expected to have jets that appear to move very quickly. However, radio observations of PKS 1424+240 suggested that its jet was moving much more slowly, creating a contradiction that became part of a long-running problem known as the "Doppler factor crisis." To investigate, researchers analyzed 15 years of observations from the Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA), a network of 10 radio antennas spread across the continental United States, Hawaii and St. Croix. Using a technique called Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI), astronomers combine signals from widely separated radio telescopes to create a virtual Earth-sized telescope capable of revealing extremely fine details. The team combined 42 polarization-sensitive radio images collected between 2009 and 2025, creating a much deeper and more detailed view of the jet than had previously been possible. The observations were carried out as part of MOJAVE (Monitoring Of Jets in Active galactic nuclei with VLBA Experiments), a long-running program that studies the brightness, polarization and magnetic field structures of jets produced by active galaxies. The project aims to better understand how activity near supermassive black holes is linked to high-energy radiation and neutrino emission. “When we reconstructed the image, it looked absolutely stunning,” said Yuri Kovalev, lead author of the study and Principal Investigator of the European Research Council-funded MuSES project at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy. “We have never seen anything quite like it — a near-perfect toroidal magnetic field with a jet, pointing straight at us.” The image revealed an unusual geometry. The researchers found that Earth lies almost directly in line with the jet, with a viewing angle of less than 0.6 degrees. In simple terms, astronomers are looking almost straight down the jet. This turned out to be the key to the mystery. Because the jet is aimed almost directly at Earth, a relativistic effect called Doppler boosting dramatically increases its apparent brightness. The study found that this effect boosts the emission by a factor of about 30 while also making the jet appear slower than it actually is. “This alignment causes a boost in brightness by a factor of 30 or more,” said Jack Livingston, a co-author at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy. “At the same time, the jet appears to move slowly due to projection effects — a classic optical illusion.” The nearly head-on view also gave scientists a rare look at the jet's magnetic field. Using polarized radio signals, they detected a clear toroidal, or doughnut-shaped, magnetic field component. The observations suggest the jet carries an electric current and that its magnetic field helps launch, shape and stabilize the flow of plasma. Researchers believe this magnetic structure may also play a key role in accelerating particles to energies high enough to produce both gamma rays and neutrinos. “Solving this puzzle confirms that active galactic nuclei with supermassive black holes are not only powerful accelerators of electrons, but also of protons — the origin of the observed high-energy neutrinos,” Kovalev said. The research was conducted under the MuSES (Multi-messenger Studies of Energetic Sources) project, which investigates how active galactic nuclei accelerate particles and generate different cosmic signals, including light and neutrinos. Scientists say understanding how protons are accelerated and linked to neutrino production remains one of the major unanswered questions in astrophysics. The findings help explain why some blazars can appear to have slow jets while still producing extremely bright high-energy emissions. More broadly, the study strengthens the link between relativistic jets, magnetic fields, gamma rays and high-energy neutrinos. Researchers say the results provide new clues about how some of the Universe's most powerful natural particle accelerators work and offer important insights for multimessenger astronomy, which combines different types of cosmic signals to study extreme events in space.
