LOC Veteran Posted December 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 17, 2009 Holy ****. The sky really is falling. I think my pants just got moist or something... But, Hart is NEVER going to wrestle. I don't know why they even speculate on that. The man could DIE if he wrestles again. I doubt he would even take a bump, seriously. Rappy Veteran Posted December 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 17, 2009 There are conflicting reports regarding Booker T's future in the wrestling industry. Last week, we were told that negotiations between T and World Wrestling Entertainment had fallen through. However, he's now telling friends he's returning to WWE to compete on RAW. There was even one rumor at one point that he was going to talk to TNA about getting his spot back. We'll keep you posted as we just don't know right now and would rather not speculate. Rappy Veteran Posted December 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 17, 2009 After issuing a blunt Twitter response to criticism of WWE?s ?Piggy James? storyline, Diva Mickie James was quick to clarify that she was not specifically ripping on her company or the angle. Responding to a Tweet, ?I?m really offended right now with the WWE making jokes about your [weight]?I really worry about girls who watch wrestling, see this kind of thing, and fall victim to hating their bodies,? the Diva wrote, ?I agree. I think the example being set is pathetic. Giving the youth a warped perception of beauty; after all?one has to love themselves first. Society makes that hard?I love myself and my body. 130 is hardly fat.? When a story broke quoting Mickie James as saying WWE?s handling of the storyline is ?pathetic,? James responded, ?I never said WWE?if anyone read it, I said society.? While it is true that Mickie did not specifically mention the WWE storyline in her response, one cannot fault those who assumed her response was WWE-centric: the Tweet to which she responded was purely related to the company?s ongoing mockery of her weight. Anyone who thinks Mickie James is fat is crazy. I mean really. Like Mark Madden said on Wrestlezone, she has a "bubble butt" now, which is perfectly fine for a woman her size. And at least she LOOKS different than the other 87987987987 divas who all look and talk and walk the same. Literally. She's beautiful and quite agile (not to mention fit as a fiddle) and very intelligent as well. I really think it is disgusting the way WWE is treating her. But then again look how they humilate talent like Lita, Vickie Guerrero and others in the past. Pathetic really. haha, yea. that what happens when you switch teams ... ala Christiani think it's about time to move Christian to another brand. put him on Smackdown in a program with Jericho? Actually since he's been ECW champ for quite awhile now (going on like 2 or 3 months isn't it?) I wouldn't be surprised if Vince did move him over to SD (or hell even RAW, especially if Edge returns on RAW) soon. Christian really is quite over right now, more so than anyone else on ECW and for a guy his age and what he's been through he can still put on a GREAT match both with and without major bumps. I think a program with Jericho would be terrific. A program with Kane, Undertaker, hell anyone would be awesome with Christian. I just hope WWE lets him cut awesome promos like he used to. Anyone remember the "ass cream" he had? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/621597-the-big-wrestling-thread/page/93/#findComment-591988200 Share on other sites
Rappy Veteran Posted December 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 17, 2009 - WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart appeared on yesterday's edition of Wrestling Observer Radio on F4Wonline.com. Here are some of the highlights: * Bret said he doesn't have faith in Eric Bischoff or Hulk Hogan when it comes to recreating the Monday Night Wars with TNA. He respects TNA as a company and hope it brings competition for the sport but doesn't think they're going to do anything major. Bret said Hogan has played himself out to the American audience and doesn't have anything to offer anymore. - so true! * He feels he still has lots of ideas and different things he can contribute to wrestling. His ideal job in the business right now would be something similar to what John Laurinaitis does for WWE. He would want to be involved in planning matches and storylines. * TNA has always been good to him as far as extending offers go. * Bret says he is a big fan of Randy Orton's work these days but not impressed with the storylines he's been involved in. He also said he's impressed with Kofi Kingston and is a mark for Melina, calling her creative and very imaginative when it comes to doing her moves. He also feels everything Sheamus is doing right now is impressive and also is a big fan of Jack Swagger. Bret feels Swagger has good potential to be a top wrestler and character. * He would loved to have wrestled Kurt Angle and David Hart Smith. He also would have loved to work as a heel against John Cena because he feels they could have told a good story together. He hinted that Cena's abilities in the ring are limited but he is still good. - Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/621597-the-big-wrestling-thread/page/93/#findComment-591988314 Share on other sites
LOC Veteran Posted December 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 17, 2009 Oh man it's going to be awesome if WWE hires Bret as a booker! Finally someone who knows wrestling and isn't related to Vince! If they hire him for that that is. And he's right on the money with all his opinions imo. Randy Orton has been doing great stuff lately (other than his stupid storylines, like most of the WWE universe), Kofi is terrific and while I don't agree that Melina is the best she's certainly good. I also agree that Sheamus is very impressive, to bad WWE is ruining his title run already. And while Jack Swagger COULD be a big star, WWE is floundering him like many others. And man, Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle would have been utterly epic. And Cena vs. Hart would have been epic aswell, and while Cena's moveset is limited it's more a function of his character that WWE wants him to portray than anything else. I'm pretty sure he has more than 5 moves after all heh. LOC Veteran Posted December 18, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 18, 2009 I'll watch it. While the acting will be horrid (I mean, come on) the action looks solid - like all the other WWE productions really. Plus, I kinda like Ted Jr. and wanna see what he's actually capable of. It would make sense to turn him face when the movie comes out, but eh. As i recall there was something like when he did the Hall of Fame, he didn't want to see HBK there otherwise he wouldn't do it. Rappy Veteran Posted December 18, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 18, 2009 Who is going to watch Marine 2? :shifty: not me Marine was bad enough thank you Source: Prowrestling.net - There was said to be legitimate tension between Vince McMahon and Slammy guest host Dennis Miller at last week's RAW. Miller was late to the building and sources say he arrived only a couple hours before the show. Vince really did try to give Miller some comedy pointers for his stand-up on the stage. The comments Miller made during their appearance on stage together about Vince giving him comedy pointers were unscripted. WWE officials weren't happy with Miller not being able to connect with the live crowd. Rappy Veteran Posted December 19, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 19, 2009 When asked to name her cereal and restaurant of choice, Mickie James listed Cocoa Pebbles and Honey Comb as her two favorite cereals, with Arby's as her preferred restaurant. "I love cereal... But I'm more of a organic girl all the way. Cocoa pebbles and honey comb were my favs," the WWE Diva said on Twitter. "And this one, Arby's." For those unaware, Arby's is a Georgia based restaurant primarily known for selling roast beef sandwiches and curly fries. NO JOKES!! :) The biggest Arby's restaurant in the world can be found in ironically enough, James' hometown of Richmond, Virginia. In other James trivia, she revealed her legitimate height and weight this past week on the social networking site. While World Wrestling Entertainment bills the SmackDown Diva as 5'4" and 121 pounds, she is actually 5'2" and 130 pounds. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/621597-the-big-wrestling-thread/page/93/#findComment-591993922 Share on other sites

Rappy Veteran Posted December 21, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 21, 2009 Source: PWinsider The word going around WWE is that Tommy Dreamer will be departing the company. Dreamer had signed a new deal last summer, but the word going around the ECW/Smackdown tapings last night was that Dreamer had asked for his release. Dreamer has been with WWE since 2001, working both as a performer and also holding other responsibilities in the company. LOC Veteran Posted December 22, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 22, 2009 Sigh Tommy Dreamer. Such an under-appreciated gem in the industry. At least he was given the ECW title before he decided to hang it up in WWE. Whether he goes to TNA or not, that's another story. I honestly don't see him going to TNA, but you never know. Either way, WWE is losing a real locker room leader (among the likes of the Undertaker here) and genuine nice guy. But, for a guy who thought his career was over 10 years ago or so, he did pretty good for himself. Plus he's married to you know who still :D Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/621597-the-big-wrestling-thread/page/93/#findComment-592009270 Share on other sites
