Loso
it just wont be the same when NWO used to kick off Nitro and just stand in the ring and people would throw pepsi cans and food at them...epic times! wcw days were classic Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/621597-the-big-wrestling-thread/page/98/#findComment-592067118 Share on other sites
Rappy Veteran Posted January 4, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 4, 2010 Heh, what about when Hogan turned and joined Hall and Nash? My lord I thought the people were going to riot and kill them. You gotta figure Hogan and Bischoff and anyone else who came up with Hogan going heel had to know it was going to upset people (and I mean that literally lol) and had to have big balls to do it.Like that one match in ECW with I think Foley and Terry Funk when the crowd started throwing in the steel chairs, omgz. yeah WCW was so passionate then it was unreal but that's why I loved WCW the fact it was like so different to WWE then they brought in Attitude era and we had 2 awesome federations but then WCW got to random and crappy. Loso
wcw had characters for days. la parka, ice train, glacier, just a vast variety. they had the match types and big storylines. they were really a great company. the last time wwe had a vast variety of characters (Savio Vega, 8ball, Godfather) was back when wcw was around Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/621597-the-big-wrestling-thread/page/98/#findComment-592067164 Share on other sites
LOC Veteran Posted January 4, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 4, 2010 Well look at the heritage WCW had, we're talking about all the way back to the NWA days after all. Even tho WCW withdrew from the NWA in the early 90's if I remember correctly, still. People were very passionate about it. Calum Veteran Posted January 4, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 4, 2010 [...] I don't really see why he'd want Bret's return to fail, as if would be good for the company if it didn't. Unless he hates Bret more than Bret hated Shawn? That's an excellent point! He's the husband of one of the top directors of the company (if not the future owner); why wouldn't he want the company to do well? That's very selfish of him :/ Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/621597-the-big-wrestling-thread/page/98/#findComment-592067386 Share on other sites
red.
ro Wrestling Illustrated has named Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair at WrestleMania XXVI "Match of the Decade" in its PWI Decade Awards. Runner-ups include Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 21, Hollywood Hogan vs. The Rock at WrestleMania X8, Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XIX, Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania XXV, and Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H vs. Chris Benoit at WrestleMania XX. I was just watching the Rock/Hogan match again and man, the crowd was immense in that match. Victor Rambo
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson turned down an offer from WWE to host an episode of Raw. Originally, WWE wanted to bring The Rock in to host next week's Raw, which is going head-to-head, for the first time, with UFC. WWE wanted to combat that competition with a strong guest host, however The Rock reportedly turned down the offer as he apparently has no interest in hosting Raw. WWE is still pushing, however, to bring The Rock into the company for a match against John Cena at WrestleMania. http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/arti...we-offer-93707 :( Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/621597-the-big-wrestling-thread/page/98/#findComment-592070006 Share on other sites

I hope this is not true; if it is, many of The Rock's fans will lose a lot of faith in him  I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he teased that RAW spot. But I knew deep down the Rock would likely never do it. And if he did it would only be to pimp a big movie he was doing. Truth be told unless his Hollywood career dies big time he's never coming back to WWE in any capacity probably.
