Currently featured as one of the top stories on Yahoo.com is yesterday's report comparing WWE wrestler death stats to similar sized samples in other fields of sports and entertainment.

Alongside an image of "Macho Man" Randy Savage, the front page headline reads "Tragic legacy of huge wrestling event" with the description noting "An alarming number of performers from 1991's Wrestlemania VII are now dead."

The Yahoo! Sports article notes that over 25 percent of the performers from Wrestlemania VII have died prematurely (14 deceased of 51 total), with many of the deaths being attributed to drug use.

A graph is enclosed in the article listing the deceased wrestling talents, as well as their age and cause of death. It reads:

* "Macho Man" Randy Savage (58) - heart attack

* Andre the Giant (46) - heart failure

* Mr. Perfect (44) - drug overdose

* Miss Elizabeth (42) - drug overdose

* "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith (39) - heart attack

* Dino Bravo (44) - gunshot

* "The Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich (33) - suicide

* Joey Marella (31) - car accident

* Hawk (46) - heart attack

* Hercules (47) - heart disease

* Earthquake (42) - bladder cancer

* Crush (44) - unconfirmed

* Big Boss Man (41) - heart attack

(The article forgot to list Sensational Sherri, who died of a drug overdose at the age of 49. This list does not include Gorilla Monsoon (62, natural causes) and Lord Alfred Hayes (76).)

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the Divas angle shot on WWE Raw last night was done as a way to write Kharma off WWE TV for awhile. For those who missed it Kharma, real name Kia Stevens, came out to the ring, was surrounded by the WWE Divas, and broke down crying. According to the report, Kharma will be off WWE television for 9 months. No other details are known at this time.

According to PWInsider.com WWE Diva Kharma, real name Kia Stevens, is pregnant, which is why WWE wrote her off TV this past Monday night on Raw. As we originally reported, Kharma was set to be sidelined for 9 months, so it appears as if her being out due to pregnancy makes sense.

It was announced on last night's edition of WWE NXT that that the next rookie elimination will take place on next week's show. Last week, Jacob Novak was the first rookie to be eliminated from the show.

According to a source, the recent allegations made by WWE Hall of Famers George "The Animal" Steele and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper concerning Vince McMahon's soured relationship with Randy Savage have nothing to do with the WWE chief's animosity towards the late wrestler.

Piper alleged last Friday on Twitter that Savage slapped McMahon in a bar. Steele then suggested in an interview that McMahon held Savage in contempt for abruptly jumping to World Championship Wrestling in 1994 because he considered him "almost like a son."

Steele said,

"I think that what happened with Randy, when his career was winding down with the WWF, Vince McMahon just loved Randy. After all everything Randy had done and he took him under his wing, and he wanted Randy after the ring was over with for him, he wanted him to be our spokesperson. He was traveling with Vince all the time. Randy was almost like a son, they were really tight. And then one day, we were at a TV meeting, and we got word that Randy, without calling Vince, had left and jumped to the WCW. I had never seen Vince McMahon broken before, he was crushed. It hurt him big time and I don't think he ever got over that. I think that's the real problem to be honest with you."

In late 1996, Savage's contract with WCW had expired and he briefly negotiated with WWE regarding a possible return to the organization. According to the source, during this time frame, Vince McMahon told him he would take back Savage "with open arms," but would "never ever" take Hulk Hogan back.

McMahon's animosity towards Savage during the final years of the wrestling legend's life stemmed from an incident that occurred following 1996, or "something he found out."

"Any explanation of why Vince hates Savage that has to do with something that Vince would have known pre-1996 is clearly balderdash," the source stated. "Either something post 1996, or something he found out after 1996."

There is a long-standing rumor indicating that Savage was involved in a sexual relationship with McMahon's daughter Stephanie during his final year in WWE, therefore explaining his animosity towards him (which McMahon learned years later). While the allegation has never been verified, top WWE officials believed the rumor to be true. :unsure:

"I think that the reason is the same reason that everyone says. It's the reason everyone in (WWE) says. It's the reason that is the only one that makes any sense. So I think that's the reason. I can't come up with any other reason. I don't know. I mean, I've heard that reason from so many people that are not internet rumormongers, I mean people who - all I know is that within the company as far as the top people, they all believe it, and nobody knows for sure, because it's never brought up.

"When I first heard the story I didn't believe it because I thought it was just some story, but then, and I mean even when people who are very high up in that company, after they left the company, would tell me that story I still didn't believe it, but, you know, after a certain number of years when it's just, you know, ideas are brought up for Randy Savage and the reaction - there's something real, real bad because, let's face it, I mean, I couldn't count the number of times Vince said he would never do business with Hulk Hogan, and he always does. So, I don't know...Actually, as time goes by, more people talk about it trying to say that it didn't happen.", the source said.

^ I thought we talked about that before in this thread? Certainly that's what's been said for a long time.

Anyway, i watched Over the Limit (only for the Christian vs Orton match) the other night and it's the first time i've watched WWE in a while and what i couldn't help but notice was Booker T on commentary say a variation of 'right there/right here/right now' pretty much in every sentence :laugh:

If you had a drinking game and took a shot every time he mentioned it you would be dead halfway through the first match.

Kharma is advertised to speak next Monday on RAW. WWE.com released the following statement:
"Live on the next Raw, the WWE Universe will hear from the baleful behemoth, Kharma, about her unexpected emotional breakdown last Monday. What will the devastator of Divas say about her tearful episode?"

    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time

    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition
