OK, so Rappy has officially announced he is to take a one year break from posting on Neowin now that he's reached 80,000 posts.

...so now it's up to us to fill in the gap here! :p I'll start off...

So, one week until Money in the Bank. What's everyone predictions? :)

Also, I just looked on NoDQ, and spotted this hip-hop song using Goldust's theme. Who wants to bet if he used this as his theme, he'd be a world champion? :p

I can't really say, mostly because I really don't pay much attention to WWE anymore, but the whole CM Punk story have me interested. I MIGHT just watch this PPV to see how it goes, but we'll see.

I think I'll post my prediction in a few days.

Here's how I would book the two world title matches for MiTB.

1) Orton v Christian

Christian wins, somewhat cleanly. MiTB winner comes down, cashes in, wins. Christian can now complain about how he got screwed again. Then you have Orton v Christian for the #1 Contender spot on Smackdown.

2) Cena v Punk

Cena takes the usual beating, then takes control of the match. Hits the 5 knuckle shuffle, and down comes Vince. Vince hits Cena with the title, Punk pins Cena, Cena gets fired.

In reality, it has nothing to do with Cena or Orton. Its the bookers, writers, etc that can't ever make them look 'weak'.

That's what I hate about the creative team. They make Cena and Orton like Superman, and in last years WM have Triple H tap out?!?!?!?! Makes HHH look like a pansy. I wish WWE would get it together. I really am liking this CM Punk angle, so hopefully they don't screw it up.

I disagree with the end of the HHH-Taker match. Was very well done. They took everything the other had, and the UT had one more move, the Hell's Gate, which HHH had no counter to.

+1. It really annoys me when they keep pushing Cena up like a superman. It's been done, it's overdone, it's why people call WWE "Same old crap" because I feel like I'm watching the same old **** every pay per view.

As for Triple H tapping out, I agree. It wasn't the first time I've seen him tap out on a huge match, but it does bugs me when I see him do it like that.

Check this out by The Rock! He's responded to Cena's subtle taunts about him.

http://www.youtube.com/therock#p/a/u/0/e2VK6U6YVDE

Actually, I must admit I am on Cena's side for this one, I think The Rock cant just come and go without sequence if he's sincere about calling WWE home, even if his contract allows him to do so.

^ Watched that 11 minutes of the same old crap yesterday. Was not impressed. Same old sayings that he's been saying about Cena from the beginning, except for saying 'I don't need to be there'. Well then don't say you WILL be there if you 'don't need to'.

Only interesting thing is that he teases he'll see Cena at Survivor Series.

I actually thought that was a good promo by the Rock and the kind of stuff we should have been seeing on TV compared to making fun of Cena's shirts.

Cena responded on Twitter with exactly the same old stuff he's been saying since the start. Which seems like a lame comeback compared to this video.

Oh you're right, now he made fun of the armbands instead of the shirts. Such a drastic change. The video was about 7 minutes too long.

Everyone is still in love with The Rock because of what he used to be. He isn't that anymore. He hasn't shown anything in any of his promos except the ability to regurgitate the exact same things over and over and over. Look them up. Theres only what, 4 of them? They are all exactly the same, besides the 20 minutes he got to waste at Wrestlemania.

Now, Cena isn't doing much better, but its hard for him to have material for The Rock when 'Dwayne' isn't around. Heres the thing about that though: You've had Cena, Orton, and CM Punk all tell you how The Rock is lying to the fans, etc. Why does him saying 'I've already done it!' make it ok for you? He said 'I'm never leaving again' ... so he can't do a promo from his house every month to be shown on Raw? Why not?

I just read what Cena replied on Twitter. A lot of them were actually really good.

?CeNation. Just saw Dwayne?s statement. Via satellite of course. Sad, really. It was like an episode of mad money.?

?I wonder if GLAAD will be offended by Dwayne?s comments.?

?Either way..looks like I have really made him mad. But, certainly not mad enough to show up and do anything. Maybe he can send a stuntman.?

?Dwayne. I am a WWE employee, and a proud one. The difference between us is you left for ?greener pastures?. For me?this is what I love.?

?I have never begged for anyones admiration or acceptance, u don?t believe me..watch MITB. Its not about that. Its about showing up.?

Id rather wrestle a thousand ?punks? than one ?rock?. Because I can see his passion. Wish I could see yours?yer just never there. :)

?Until april 1st. Keep on bringing it my man. You?re doing great. Your friend John Cena:?

He always hits on how much he loves the business and the fans, regardless of what reaction he gets. And thats why he should be respected. Whos more polarizing than Cena? No one. He's going to be booed out of the building on Sunday, but I'm sure he will still tell a great story in the ring. Its kind of a dry-run for the WM match, because Cena will be booed out of the building in Miami too.

Yes he made fun of the armbands but what i was saying is that he actually tried saying something different compared to his TV promos he's been doing which were all the same thing. In this video he actually tries to address some of what Cena has been saying and actually sounded like it had some passion in it. And it would have been better if he said this stuff on Raw.

And i don't know, Cena's reply was as if he heard that the Rock did a promo and decided to give out a default response. That's all i'm saying.

While i do like the Rock and bored to death of Cena i think you may have me confused with some super hardcore Rock who is defending everything he says. Do i believe that when he says he's never leaving again that he's going to be showing up even semi-regularly? No.

While that is admirable and a reason to respect Cena as a person, that's exactly why his character bores the hell out of me. It just feels so bland.

If you're bored with Cena, why aren't you bored with the Rock? He's just as bland. Its probably because you only get tiny doses of him. Cena you see every week.

Probably because the Rock was both a heel and a face so his character actually said something interesting at times. And i don't remember him being booked like Super Cena.

Layeth the Smack down, eating pie, shoving boots up candy asses.....to me those are funny and entertaining regardless of how much I hear them.........however, hustle, loyalty, respect.....those are generic terms so the guy actually has something to talk about. The only time I have ever remotely liked Cena is when he actually got creative when fighting back against the Rock in the "rap" style promo where he told the Rock to "blow me". That was the only time where he appeared to have a backbone.

EDIT: I agree that the Rock was never booked like Super Cena. There were so many stars in the Attitude era, the Rock could legitimately lose to Stone Cold, HHH, Undertaker, Mankind, etc etc. Super Cena can't lose a fair match to anyone with the exception of maybe Randy Orton if they were currently feuding.

Well, Cena has been a heel before as well. I mean a proper heel, not like now, where he's essentially a tweener.

Remember the beginning of his rap gimmick?

    • My issue is I can't access the forum on mobile if the site is set to Desktop mode on Vivaldi because it can't complete the Cloud flare am I a bot check! I know this is a Vivaldi issues as it has started happening on all cloud flare check sites, it's so annoying, I've reported it but no fix yet.
    • Are you going to do performance benchmarks comparing all states? I'd be interested in seeing that in the next "part".
    • My father still uses a programme written in dbase3. Still manages to work with a little help from dosbox.
    • Microsoft hides these secret Windows 11 performance boost settings available on every PC by Sayan Sen Windows enthusiasts often look for ways to extract as much performance out of their systems as possible, and it's often the case that they try and do so while trying to minimize the heat and power consumption. This is especially relevant in the case of mobile Windows PCs since laptops and notebooks tend to get hot and management of that heat and power is harder in such a form factor. As such users often turn to techniques like under-volting which can be used to squeeze out the maximum capabilities of a chip while also maintaining lowered power levels. There are official apps from AMD and Intel with the likes of Ryzen Master and XTU (Extreme Tuning Utility). While these are quite handy, most enthusiasts probably prefer to dig into the BIOS and play around with settings there like Curve Optimizer on Ryzen, which lets users set various frequency-voltage scaling values. These are essentially called P-States. If you are not familiar with them, Processor Power Management is done through Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) P-states and C-states. While P-states or performance pwoer states handle CPU voltage-frequency scaling, C-states deal with CPU sleep states so that some of the CPU functions, which are not necessary at that moment, can be disabled. The P-states and C-states work together to make the processor run more efficiently. It helps the OS and apps determine which cores can be parked and which should be boosted. Of course not every user is an enthusiast or knows the technicalities and integrities of how things like overclocking or undervolting work. Thankfully for them Windows itself offers something pretty cool, though it is hidden by default on all systems. By default, Windows only has two P-States, "Minimum Processor State" and "Maximum Processor State." However, this can be changed with a Registry trick to expand the options under a secret "Processor performance boost mode" dropdown. This essentially enables the HWP or hardware P-States available on a device, and these are not controlled just by the OS itself as the underlying hardware gets involved too. In total there are five Processor Performance Boost Mode profiles that control how Windows requests and allows CPU turbo/boost behavior under the different power policies. They are: Disabled: In this mode, processor boosting is effectively turned off. The CPU will avoid entering turbo or boost frequencies and instead operate closer to its base frequency ceiling. This can significantly reduce power consumption and heat output, but at the cost of reduced burst performance and responsiveness in short workloads. Enabled: This is the standard behavior where boost functionality is allowed under normal conditions. The processor can opportunistically increase frequency when workload demands it, balancing performance gains with power and thermal constraints as managed by the system. Aggressive: Aggressive mode favors performance more heavily, allowing the CPU to enter higher boost states more readily and sustain them longer. This should in theory improve responsiveness under bursty or heavy workloads but increases power draw and thermal output compared to the default enabled behavior. Efficient Enabled: This mode still allows boosting, but with a stronger bias toward energy efficiency. The system attempts to use boost more selectively, avoiding unnecessary frequency spikes when the performance gain is marginal. Efficient Aggressive: This is a hybrid approach where boost is still performance-responsive, but the system continuously weighs efficiency more heavily than in Aggressive mode. It aims to deliver noticeable performance improvements while reducing wasted power in less demanding scenarios. Here's how to enable the Processor performance boost mode: Open Registry Editor: Press Win+R, type regedit, and click OK. Go to: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b740d00\be337238-0d82-4146-a960-4f3749d470c7 (where HKLM stands for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_) Modify the value of Attributes from 1 to 2 (you can find modify option by right-clicking) After that, exit Registry, you should now be able to see the new "Processor performance boost mode" dropdown menu: As you can see there are now five new P-States or CPPC states or power profile available that help define the boost mode processor setting on your PC. Wrapping it up here's a quick run-down of the settings as defined by Microsoft itself. Setting Description Disabled The corresponding P-state-based behaviour is disabled. Collaborative Processor Performance Control (CPPC) behaviour is disabled. Enabled The corresponding P-state-based behaviour is enabled. CPPC behaviour is Efficient Enabled. Aggressive The corresponding P-state-based behaviour is enabled. CPPC behaviour is Aggressive. Efficient Enabled The corresponding P-state-based behaviour is Efficient. CPPC behaviour is Efficient Enabled. Efficient Aggressive The corresponding P-state-based behaviour is Efficient. CPPC behaviour is Aggressive. Aggressive At Guaranteed Windows calculates the desired extra performance above the guaranteed performance level, and asks the processor to deliver that specific performance level. Efficient Aggressive At Guaranteed Windows always asks the processor to deliver the highest possible performance above the guaranteed performance level. In the next part we shall be comparing these settings to explore how much of a benefit or regression they can provide in terms of performance and power efficiency. If you decide to change the values on your system and are experiencing problems like crashes or an overheating PC, make sure to revert the steps back to the original state.
