I also love the direction they are going with Mark Henry (he's finally a legit champ woohoo!) and Orton and Rhodes etc. Also this Sin Cara stuff COULD be interesting. But since neither of them talk (well, the real Sin Cara can't really talk) the feud can't be super awesome I guess.

yeah the Sin Cara feud is quite interesting as well I want to see a match between them...could be full of high spots

Someone at Bleacher Report put forward an interesting outcome for Hell in a Cell. John Lauranitis, Kevin Nash, and Awesome Truth all interfere and form a new stable to try and take down Triple H, resulting in a match at Survivor Series for control of the company.

And someone else there suggests why John Cena will lose this Sunday, mainly talking about building up his feud with The Rock, seeing as The Rock is gonna be at Survivor Series, so if they take Cena out of the title picture, there's nothing in the way of that rivalry. God knows who they'd give the title to though. I'd love for it to be CM Punk again, but I bet they'll go with ADR again.

Cena might lose and if he does it will be to ADR I think Punk has more legs in the storyline with Trips

Well, the Awesome Truth have finally resurfaced. They "invaded" a couple of WWE live events in Texas...

Miz also went on a Twitter crusade against Triple H...

Triple H fires us for "savagely attacking a WWE official" I wonder if Triple H ever put his hands on a WWE Official. Let's see.. #Hypocrite

Triple H vs Stone Cold No Mercy 1999 Triple H pushes ref. #hypocrite Triple H vs Y2J April 2000 Triple H beats up n pedigrees ref #hypocrite

And my favorite Triple H vs Kevin Nash Judgement Day 2003 Triple H "Savagely" hits ref with a SLEDGEHAMMER. Just to name a few. #hypocrite

Will be good to see how this one pans out between The Miz and Triple Hypocrite. :p

Here's The Miz's Twitter.

I dislike how they've basically taken Punks "Fired" storyline and given it to Miz/Truth... Lame!

Punk was never fired. He 'quit'.

The Miz/Truth storyline was taken away from Kevin Nash, after 1) he medically couldn't be cleared to compete and 2) he got injured at NoC.

And in more Stacy Keibler news, she recently posed nude for a new book titled Culo. The book is co-edited by Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs and Interscope record executive Jimmy Iovine. Keibler recently wrote about this her Facebook page:

“So excited for the release of CULO!”

“[Photographer] Raphael Mazzucco Rocks!”

The book is scheduled to hit stores in late November.

oh my!

Forbes.com did a story today talking about how Vince McMahon has about 400 million dollars in WWE stock now that its back over 9 dollars a share. That means he's no longer a billionaire.

Well, Vince knows what he needs to do to become a billionaire again: bring back the Attitude Era!

He doesn't have have to get rid of WWPGE either, just make it a separate part of the main package. Do Saturday morning shows for the kids (like some of the local wrestling organisations in America used to do in the 70s and 80s), then turn the main shows back into adult-orientated shows. They could even go back to the old "Raw Is War" layout, where the first hour of the show was more teen-orientated, then the second hour (the "War Zone") was where all the adult parts took place. That way, they don't miss out any age group, and it can help to fill up their new WWE Network when that launches.

BTW, don't know if anyone here's seen this yet...

Jimmy Uso arrested for drunk driving in Tampa, Florida

Professional wrestler Jimmy Uso went from body slams in the ring to being thrown in the slammer Thursday when he was accused of drunken driving.

Uso, whose real name is Jonathan Fatu, was arrested just after 3 a.m. Thursday at Howard Avenue and Platt Street after a police officer said Uso was driving the wrong way on Howard in a silver Mustang, according to an arrest affidavit.

The 26-year-old World Wrestling Entertainment performer, 6 feet 2 and 240 pounds, had a blood alcohol reading of 0.180 — well above the 0.08 limit at which point the state presumes impairment.

Uso, who lives in South Tampa, remained in jail Thursday in lieu of $500 bail. He wrestles as part of a tag team with his twin brother, Jey, while wearing Samoan tribal beads. He has worked in the WWE since May 2010.

His blood alcohol level was .180; more than double the legal limit of .08 in Florida.

Reading that, I'm remembering something I read yesterday from this Mark Henry article: "8 Things You May Not Know About the World's Strongest Champion, Mark Henry". In slide 6, it recalls an interview from a few years ago:

"Henry doesn't ride with other wrestlers to any World Wrestling Entertainment matches. A husband and father of a 21-month-old son, Henry said one reason he drives solo is for safety, that he has less chance of getting in an accident that might cause an injury that could affect his career. The other reason, he said, is that he doesn't want to be in a car if recreational or performance-enhancing drugs belonging to another wrestler are discovered by law enforcement officials.

'If they get caught, then I'd be (considered) guilty, too. If we get pulled over, we're both going down,' Henry said."

OK, Jimmy Uso wasn't arrested for drug-related offences, but I just thought it'd be a bit relevant.

BTW, I really recommend that Mark Henry article; some great facts in there. The biggest surprise of them all is slide 3. I won't spoil it here, I'll let you see for yourself.

OK, let's sum up last night's SmackDown:

Mark Henry did a promo with Booker T before he defeated The Great Khali in a match, then injures his leg with the steel chair, like he did to Big Show and Kane. (BTW, Khali's titantron froze right from the start; even the titantron's bored of him :p ) Oh, and Jinder's ****ed off at Khali while he's being stretchered out. He obviously knows he's gonna be relegated to Superstars now. :p

Evan Bourne lost to Jack Swagger after Bourne, while going for the Shooting Star Press, jobbed to the most pathetic push from Vickie Guerrero! That pretty much sets up Air Boom vs. Swagger and Ziggler for HIAC. Surprisingly, it still hasn't been announced, but I'm betting it'll happen.

Next, Sin Cara (Místico) vs. Heath Slater. Oh boy. Thankfully, it's over pretty quickly; Sin Cara wins with a Swanton Bomb. And then, Sin Cara (Hunico) appears on the titantron, and reveals a new black attire! Then he says a few interesting words: "You stole my identity once before as Místico, and now it's only right that I do the same to you. This Sunday, you will find out which one of us should be known as Sin Cara." Good to see WWE doing this. :) I'm gonna predict that Sin Cara will win. :p JK, I'd go with Hunico. Anyone remember when they did Kane vs. Fake Kane? Fake Kane won.

Now, backstage, we've got Christian, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler, Vickie Guerrero, David Otunga, and John "Executive Vice President of Saying the Same Thing a Million Times" Laurinaitis in a meeting together, planning on taking down Triple H, then saying that everyone's "all in for Monday", so let's see what happens on RAW.

Next, it's Barbie Doll vs. Natalya (who doesn't even get an entrance this week; she's not a jobber!), to hype up Beth Phoenix fighting for the Divas title at HIAC. And as usual, Natalya loses via rollup. Thankfully, the Divas of Doom crash the celebrations almost immediately, then Natalya puts her in a pretty devious submission while Beth holds a microphone to her. They might as well have gone and made the HIAC match an I Quit match! We haven't had one of those in three years (coincidentally, Beth Phoenix was in that one, against Melina, and Beth won).

Cody Rhodes (plus the extra-long pre-match promo) vs. Sheamus for the IC title. And surprise surprise, Christian attacks Sheamus and gets the match DQ'd.

Now, it's the Internet Champion, Zack Ryder, against... JTG??? Wait, this isn't NXT, is it? Hey, it ain't just me, even Cole mentions it! :p During the match, we got proof that Zack Ryder's made it big; Booker T said "Woo Woo Woo, You Know It!" And as expected, Long Island Iced Z defeats JTGizzle (Booker T again) with the Rough Ryder.

Laurinaitis is backstage and Triple H shows up, pretty much saying he knows about the "secret" meeting, and threatens to "wish him well in his future endeavours".

OK, main event time; Randy Orton vs. Christian. Randy goes psycho during the match, Christian tries to escape, he fails, eventually the ref counts out both of them, so it's a no-contest, and as soon as the bell rings, Orton just goes into full psycho mode. :p Well he does until Cody Rhodes makes the save for Christian with an impressive parkour-style kick off the ring apron. Then Sheamus evens the numbers, then chases Christian through the crowd. And then, Mark Henry's music hits. He goes to take Orton out with the steel chair, but Orton, in true SuperCena style, pops up from the mat and RKO's Henry.

Seriously, if they book Henry to lose the title to Orton at HIAC, I'll be ****ed. He's already a 9-time world champion. It's time for him to take a break from the WHC picture. They should make Sheamus the face of SmackDown now.

BTW, forgot to say that I saw these tweets from Kevin Nash about the whole medical "fiasco".

"To set the record straight, I passed physical w/ flying colors. Cardiologist was amazed at my lipid profile. Couldn't reach financial terms."

https://twitter.com/#!/RealKevinNash/status/111522739772338176

"I will not be addressing this matter again. I am moving forward with my life. Cena, it was great having the chance to get to know you."

https://twitter.com/#!/RealKevinNash/status/111523160645574657

So translated, Kevin Nash is a greedy b'stard. :p

OK, prediction time for Hell in a Cell!

Sheamus vs. Christian: Sheamus, obviously. Can't think of a way that Christian could weasel a win out of this one. I won't be surprised if he ends up getting himself DQ'd.

Sin Cara (Místico) vs. Sin Cara (Hunico): I said it earlier, I'm betting on Hunico to win this one. I also found a good reason to bet on Hunico; apparently, WWE are hitting Mexico soon, and that would be the perfect place to bring this rivalry to its peak. So get Hunico to win tonight at Hell in a Cell, then have the two face off in Mexico in a Luchas de Apuestas match (in this case, "Mask vs. Mask"), and have Místico win.

Divas Championship: Kelly Kelly © vs. Beth Phoenix: It's gotta be third time lucky for Beth Phoenix. If she doesn't win tonight, then what is the point of continuing this rivalry between the two? Because if I was writing this storyline and I booked Beth to lose the first time, I would have given the next title shot to Natalya then.

Now we come to the only two Hell in a Cell matches at a Hell in a Cell PPV...

World Heavyweight Championship: Mark Henry © vs. Randy Orton: I'm hoping for a Mark Henry win here, but after Randy RKO'ed Henry on SmackDown, I've got the feeling that he's gonna win back the title now. And if they do, then they've just treated Mark Henry like Christian.

WWE Championship: John Cena © vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk: Tricky one to decide. Actually, not really. :p It's gonna be Alberto Del Rio. Let's look at the facts. John Cena's gonna be working up the rivalry with The Rock soon. It begins at Survivor Series, the logical step is to take him out of the title picture to focus on the rivalry. And CM Punk, as much as I'd love it, isn't going to regain the title, as he's still got the rivalry with Triple H, John Laurinaitis, and possibly Kevin Nash. That feud is almost certainly going to heat up to a huge match at Survivor Series for "control" of the company. So that leaves ADR. He's not in any big rivalries, so that leaves him to regain the title and begin working through some of the other title contenders, like John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler (if he loses the US title, hopefully to Zack Ryder), Alex Riley (I wouldn't like it too much, but it's slim pickings in the RAW roster), Jack Swagger, and maybe Mason Ryan, now that he's turned face.

wow what a crock...as I said on Facebook WCW called they want their storylines back!

I never watched WCW back when it was on (except for one solitary episode that I saw on Channel 5 :p ), so I've no idea what storylines WWE ripped off. Anyone care to put me out of my misery? :)

its been done before with the NWO stuff back in the day

Ah

I remember those times were Hell In A Cell matches were REALLY HELL IN A CELL matches. Henry vs Orton was horrible. If I remember correctly (aside from the cell usage) EVERYTHING done in the match, was legal in a normal match. Why even have it in a cell? Hype but thats it.

The triple threat was a bit better with the chairs and the table but still. The ending was pretty ****ty and as always, after 2 pipe shots, people have been busted open before; Why not now? **** the kids, people in the start of any "hardcore match" should start screaming "We want blood!"

On another note, wouldnt anyone be a bit more intrested in the divas division if Beth vs Kelly would have been in Hell In A Cell? :p Just a thought....

I always wondered that...women should be promoted more on the show...btw the ending to that match was lame...I think we all knew Beth would win it but the way she won it was crap

SANTINO'S BACK!!!!!! :woot: :woot: :woot:

An immortal quote from JR:

"Well the closed captioning person just walked off the job!"

Oh god, when WWE were showing Awesome Truth's apology video, they left the top comment on the video there, which was "Kayfabe lives!"

    • EA launches in-game advertising platform for brands to "connect with audiences" by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The gaming giant Electronic Arts is exploring more ways to inject real-life brands into its games. Announced today as EA Advertising, the new platform is attempting to make it easier for brands to reach out for deals with the company and put their products inside titles like EA Sports FC, Madden, NHL, Skate, or The Sims. EA revealed that its EA Sports side of the company brings in "hundreds of millions of players across console, PC, and mobile" every year. Fan engagement of these titles was also touted as being "extraordinary," with 23,000 NFL seasons worth of games being played in Madden NFL daily, while EA Sports FC sees over a billion matches a day. “Players come to EA’s games and live experiences every day to play, watch, create and connect,” said David Tinson, Chief Experiences Officer at Electronic Arts. “That gives brands a meaningful opportunity to show up in ways that add value and respect the player experience, while maintaining authenticity in the worlds our teams are building. With EA Advertising, we’re helping brands become part of those moments in ways that are relevant and built for players.” Using the new program EA Advertising, brands will be able to inject their products into games in real-time via dynamic placement. EA says partners will have access to everything from stadium signage in sports games and targeted adverts to in-game content custom-made for the brands. These are described as additions designed to "enhance, not disrupt" experiences. "In these interactive gameplay environments, brands become part of the game itself, reflecting how players engage with advertising in real-world contexts," adds the company "Brands can activate across live environments, tailoring placements to meet campaign objectives, and update campaigns with ongoing optimization informed by aggregated engagement insights." Current real-world brand partnerships EA has built into its games include Visa (EA Sports FC and College Football), Lowe's (EA Sports FC, Madden NFL, and College Football), Red Bull (EA SPORTS FC), Xfinity and Peacock (EA SPORTS FC), and Mountain Dew’s (College Football).

    • UK to ban under-16s from social media following a six-week trial with teenagers by Paul Hill Credit: Pexels A few months ago, Neowin reported that the UK was trialing a social media ban with 300 teenagers for six weeks, that testing has come to an end, and Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced that the country will ban under-16s from social media. Starmer said that this technology is making children unhappy and making it easier for bullies to harass and abuse them. He continued to talk about the addictive nature of social media, saying that it uses an infinite scroll designed to lock users in for hours. He said this interferes with children doing their homework, reading, playing with friends outside, and going to bed on time. Tackling the idea that nothing can be done about social media, Starmer said: The government’s action won’t stop at social media either, the PM said. It plans to take action on gaming services and livestreaming platforms. Right now, he said, strangers can contact any child unchecked. He said this wouldn’t happen in real life, and the government is going to stop it from happening online, too. The Labour government has overseen the introduction of the Online Safety Act, a big change to the internet which includes age verification on adult websites. This has led to a fair bit of backlash, but overall, the government is pushing ahead with these changes.
