Scott Hall was arrested again in Seminole County, Fla., back on April 6 at 9:31 p.m. by deputies from the Seminole County Sheriff's office. FloridaArrests.com does not list what Hall was arrested for.

This is the same area that Hall was arrested in back in the summer of 2011.

That guy is NEVER going to change. No matter how many times the WWE sends him to rehab ( and believe me, they have spent thousands large on him to get better ), he is never going to change. I think its time to let him do whatever the hell he wants to do, which is kill himself drinking or doing drugs, and forget about him. He has had the best help a human being can get and he does not want to change.

One of the top stories on TMZ.com is the recent arrest of former WWE & WCW star Scott Hall.

TMZ reports that Hall's girlfriend, Lisa Howell, called the police on Friday, saying that Hall had been drinking for days and tried choking her when she got into her car.

The police noted that they saw red marks around Howell's neck and Hall appeared heavily intoxicated.

The WWE doesn't 'send him' anywhere. He chooses to go, and they pay for it.

Also - the dollar number, as given in the ESPN E:60 segment, is in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Too bad. Hall isnt well liked by any wrestler, in one show of that WWE show legends roundtable or something, He was described as cancer by Bischoff i think.... dont remember exactly who called him a cancer. The guy is pretty much hated by everyone... the same goes for Nash as well but not as bad.

Man watching that video again, I feel for Scott Hall. I really hope one day soon he can find some way to work out or get over or whatever whatever his demons. He has tons of people who care about him, and seeing his son wanting to be a wrestler and crying about his Father like that, well what can you say?

Sadly I think one day fairly soon, he's just going to OD and end it all.

Why John Cena is Killing The WWE

By Bartish2

Source: http://www.ewrestlin...?10244-bartish2

Hello, just a blog I want to get off my chest since I am tired of cena marks claiming cena is the greatest when he is not. He is ruining the wwe and it is time I explained it. Cena sucks and is killing the wwe and here is why:

just something before i begin.

-I do not hate cena because it is "cool", I hate cena because I hate everything about this guy

(going to be long so be prepared)

1) He can?t wrestle to save his own life and wwe & fans act like he can.

Back in the day all you could hear from the crowd was ?you can?t wrestle? constantly and even came back during the whole cena vs batista feud. What about his wrestling style has changed since then? Nothing. Yet people claim he can wrestle when he clearly cannot and fans have noticed it since not too long after his debut and started the ``you can`t wrestle and same old ****`` chants. What is the difference between the fans of the past and now? More gullible I guess. He is not a good wrestler, he barely has any talent. he does the same ending every time.

2) 5 moves of doom

Everyone can say what they want but cena?s matches happen the same 95% of the time. Get beaten up for most of the match and 5 moves on his opponent and apparently 5 moves keeps his opponent down. Seriously? That is the most unrealistic end to a match I?ve seen besides orton vs cena in a I quit match. Seriously look it up, cena gets his ass kicked for about 20 minutes then beats orton for a minute and orton says I quit. Yes most main eventers have something similar but at least it is not the same garbage match after match. It is not the same ending as cenas and they always switch it up or counter. It has just gotten to the point when I see his matches and just sigh because it is so predictable these days. He does the 5 moves of doom and I roll my eyes. His matches are just plain boring now, not entertaining whatsoever. Every match he is in is ruined by his supercena crap. That is boring, especially when you are forced to watch it every raw and every PPV. We feel like ripping our eyes out after those matches. As another back in the day chant would say ?same old ######?.

3) WWE treats cena like a constant main eventer.

Even when cena does not have a belt, he is always given the main event spot in a PPV or at least the top 3. Apparently a guy with no belt has a higher priority than divas championship, WHC, tag team belts, US belt, IC belt? Come on, that it just an insult to the entire roster. They complain about rock stealing a spot when cena does it year round. That intro to raw every Monday for over a year and a half(before they finally changed it) had cena holding up the belt at the end... EVEN WHEN HE WAS NOT WWE CHAMPION! The only time they changed that was when cena was storyline fired during nexus and they put wwe champion the miz in that spot... then changed it back once cena was back. What a joke. What a spit in the face to every wwe champion during that time. Oh and guess who ends the video since they changed it(now without the title)? YOU GUESSED IT! This is constantly degrading the prestige and credibility of the wwe title and its holder not to mention how can they possibly build on a character when cena is constantly shoved down our throats as ?the guy?? No room to get over with the crowd. Always referring back to cena, It is killing the storylines. No body can become great like the guys of the attitude era because of cena constantly burying talent and being shoven in the spotlight over the current champions. The quality of wwe is just going to continue to decrease because there is no room to flourish, they are being held back by super cena and his garbage. He hogs the spotlight and can?t seem to keep himself out of it to let the wwe flourish to its potential. Rey could not even hold on to the wwe title for more than 1 hour and a half before the belt is slapped back on cena. Especially since cena was the one who lost the belt to cm punk and then cm punk walked out at MITB. They could not wait a bit longer to make a better effect with cm punk vs cena, no they immediately transfer the belt to cena. Cena only missed 1 PPV in 2011(TLC) and for every one he went to, he main evented in top 3 slots regardless of being champion or not. The only time he lost clean at a PPV in 2011 was against cm punk MITB.

4) His promos.

This guy cannot cut promos whatsoever. Seriously go watch rock vs cena raw before wm28. 5 minutes in and I was like ?this is the same promo he has cut every since turning face?, moreso it did not seem to even have a point and it was so dull I channel flipped. About being ?the guy who works for the company? and he would never change regardless fans liked or hated him. That didn?t stop his character to changing to face did it? This guy is a sell out. Back to my point... His promos are the same, week in and week out. It is not funny, it is childish and just boring. The guys gimmick has been the same thing for YEARS. Being the company guy who works hard blah blah blah. It gets old, every feud it is the same garbage. It is not even entertaining, it is just boring. It seems like the other person in the feud has to carry cena through the promos every time. It is so stale people just cringe whenever they see him. People are sick of it.

5) His outfit.

Every so often this guy releases new t-shirts, wristbands, headbands, hats, pants... I mean I don?t know anyone else in history who is more of a merchandise sell out than john cena. Every time he is on camera they need to zoom in on his shirt, they need to see the back and the front... do some rotating magic to get a full view of his newest merchandise to make him even richer. It seems whenever he is on camera, all they do is concentrate on what he is wearing. And my first thought is... why? Why do you have the need to force so much merchandising crap down the fans throat week in and week out? Do you think everyone is a cena fan that you need to release all your garbage merchandise? This guy makes MILLIONS a year, he owns a mansion, has a hot wife and he is not even satisfied? Then he releases a new set of merchandise to make even more money. Soon they will sign contracts for cena to promote nike shoes or something. He is a sell out. He does not care about putting on a good show like he says he does, as long as his merchandise sells and vince signs his cheques... he couldn`t care less.

6) His fans.

Most cena fans I meet are obnoxious and really annoying and always crying about cena. Yes 90% of them are kids. They always bring up some stupid arguments about how cena is awesome because he works so hard... news flash: there is A LOT of people that work hard, even harder than cena but they do not get the same kind of recognition. Bottom line is they always defend cena even though all we cena haters have reasons that cena sucks that goes on and on and on. They barely have any points why he DOESN?T suck. They bring up points we already prove invalid. Most of them do not even have a slightest clue about wrestling. They were brought up by this horrible ?shoving cena down our throats just to further marketing sales? era. They think he is the **** when in reality; he is not ?the ######?. All of these young fans are so impressionable and believe anything wwe shoves down their throat because they won?t find out wwe is scripted till they are teens. Without all his child fanbase what is john cena? He is NOTHING. He would have a very small fanbase and all the reaction he would get is ?cena sucks?, not the usual lets go cena with high pitch voices that you know belong to either: a) children or b) woman. The fans are so greedy, if cena does not win 100% everything they cry and complain, but we have to sit through this crappy programming. But when our favourite wins against cena, oh no the fruit loop troop is out and crying again. Literally go look up "reactions to cenas loss" there is cena fans literally crying in youtube videos because cena lost to wm28, MITB last year and kid thought he was fired so he cried. Can?t have him losing more than a few matches a year i guess to keep the kids happy. Then I get kids saying "word life" to me... buddy you were 2 years old when cena was saying "word life". you have no idea what it means and he sold out from that gimmick years ago. Without these kids cena would be a low mid card at best. John cena fans like this are pathetic and a disgrace to wrestling itself. They make me embarrassed to be a wwe fan and they make me want to quit watching wrestling. This brings me to my next point

7) Cena?s gimmick is directed towards children.

This is seriously getting really annoying. You bring in cena in as an aggressive next Hogan, then turn him face and direct him towards kids. That in itself is contradictory. But back to my point, directing cena?s gimmick towards kids is really killing the art of wrestling. It has moved from wrestling to entertainment. This is why I know understand why wwf changed to wwe after wcw was bought out and merged. How can you direct a violent, physical sport gimmick toward kids? Kids should not even be watching... This used to be a adult sport, and now you cater to kids and it is killing this business because you are constantly restricted, I don?t see why they schedule cena in at the end of every raw mostly when kids are long gone sleeping. What is the point of directing his gimmick to draw kids when he is put in timeslots when they are sleeping? It is pointless. This is a adult show and it should STAY THAT WAY. Continuation of this kid directed gimmick will only result in wwe being changed from ?PG? to ?G? and have the wrestlers argue in the ring. It.is.killing.this.business. Even wrestlers have said this, for instance Batista.

8) Ignorance of vince and cena against the wwe fans.

The land sliding majority of wwe hate cena. Cena knows it, vince knows it and the crowd knows it. They are tired of the same crap from him week in and week out. Tired of the over rated stale gimmick. They continue to express their discontent yet vince or cena do NOTHING to change it. What a insult to the fans. You thrive to deliver entertainment and here we want a stale product changed and all you do is to continue to shove the same crap down our throats week in and week out. WWE acknowledges the problem people have with cena and do nothing about it. For instance, over the past few years people in a feud with cena have always brought up the fact he is the company man and he is boring etc etc and yet the wwe does nothing to actually help the cause. Cena actually admitted he had the 5 moves of doom on air and admitted he should add more moves, guess what? We get the same crap the next week.

9) WWE continues to shove cena down our throats like he is so great

I like watching wwe programming. The parts I hate are with john cena in them. When I do watch them, they just continue to shove him down our throats week after week with supercena 5 moves of doom, same lame promos or the crappy commentary team telling us it is awesome. If it was awesome, you wouldn?t need to tell me. We can think for ourselves. Newsflash: It is not awesome. Regardless of the endless complaints about cena, nothing is done but continues to have him shoven down our throats week in, week out. He is being modeled as the next Hogan, which is ridiculous considering everything about cena screams lame.

10) WWE thinks he is so successful with his music and movies.

Newsflash: all his movies went straight to DVD in a 5$ basket at wal-mart. Nobody outside of wwe knows what the hell even marine is or who he is for that matter. His music? I can see that tanked pretty fast. Pretending to be a black guy, rapping and dressing like a gangster. HIS RAP SUCKED. Even his intro music is pure garbage. He failed as a bodybuilder. He is not this popular guy they make him out to be, yet every week to make it seem like the whole world knows who he is or what he has done.

11) He cannot sell worth anything

Every time they bring someone back as a surprise or a surprise happens for that matter... cena just stands there grinning like a idiot not trying to look surprised. He is making it harder for people to believe it is real. Back in the wwf it had that real feeling, the feeling that they were not a actor. It seems cena does not even give a **** anymore because he gets his cheques regardless. Not even trying to sell any promo at all. He is pretty bad selling moves inside the ring, but it is ok in vince's eyes I guess because he makes up for it by selling merchandise.

12) Killing ratings.

His kid directed gimmick has been killing ratings for years. Funny when there was 6.6 ratings at the end of the AE and PG era cannot even get a 3.5 Ratings are at a decline and has been ever since, and the continuous supercena shoven down our throat is obviously not working yet they continue it. They even try and bring back legends like the rock and brock lesnar to boot ratings and sales but it barely even boosts. why? because the wwe today is ruined by cena, supercena ruins everything and everything these days is tame compared to when they were last in the wwe. Nobody is interested in watching a pathetic version of wwf. The ratings this week for raw were actually lower than the raw after wm28... and brock lesnar was advertised and the lowers still dropped!

13) His entrance music.

Every time I hear that music it makes me want to throw a book at my TV. IT SUCKS. It is almost as annoying as scratching nails on a blackboard.

14) Ruining the wwe belt.

He changed the wwe belt to a spinner belt... moreso a toy to please kids. It was never taken as serious ever again. Even cena admits it needs to be changed. It does not even say champion it says champ.

15) He destroys storyline momentum

Example: nexus. Nexus was one of the best storylines in 2010 regardless if you liked them or not. They drew ratings and it was a great angle. Supercena had to beat them and kill all their momentum, they fought the corre temporarily and new nexus leader fought super orton and the nexus was officially dead.

16) He constantly buries talent

Examples: nexus, zak ryder

Yes zak ryder. Ever since that storyline with ever and cena ryder has been put on the backburner... even losing his US belt because of cena`s own problems. Cena used ryder to advance in his own feud and then buried him, now ryder jobs out weekly. Every talent he faces in a feud is quickly buried by him and they constantly try to piece them back together, hence why nobody is over anymore unlike the attitude era. Nobody can get over when they are being constantly buried by the two top super gimmicks.

17) He is a fake military wanna be

Every time he walks into the arena he gives a salute and wears his father?s dog tags trying to get cheap support from the military crowd and plain crowd because the crowd hates him. HE WAS NEVER IN THE MILITARY.

18) Beating Batista using duct tape, no more needs to be said

19) Claiming to be the hardest working person in the company. What an insult to everyone on the roster, there are countless others who work hard as well if not harder than him... but no recognition for them. Countless others put on better matches than him and he claims he works harder. I guess its hard doing 5 moves and winning.

20) Being a fake ``face of the company``. Just put there because shoving him down fans throat weekly makes him money regardless if he is not the face of the company. He is the fake face of the company and takes credit for what all the other wrestlers do. Example, MITB... nobody is talking about cena, they are all talking about cm punk because he carried the match and the feud. Yet he acts like he was so great in that feud while he was the yes man. Or saying the rock vs cena match was what sold wm28... sorry but that match sucked, the match that stole the show was hhh vs taker... and the reason wm28 sold out was because they overhyped it for a year.

21) Moving wrestling from being about the wrestling to being about entertainment... like for instance... there is barely any good matches anymore... but what there is a lot of is promoting everything to make a dollar. Like guest hosts, bringing in singers for wm28. It is moving away from being about wrestling and just feels like a semi violent soap opera these days. Most of that is due to john cena and his kid directed gimmick, publicizing him, over hyping him. It is just about overselling cena to make the extra money.

22) Cena's superman gimmick

When cena loses they basically do a short bit about it then shove it under the rug, like wm28... he LOST and we don't hear anything about it anymore... if cena won we would be reminded daily that cena won... wwe just doesn't want to admit that superman finally lost cleanly... and even the commentators act like rock just got lucky rather than a clean win. When in the last year on raw has cena lost cleanly? I can't think of any... when has cena lost cleanly in a PPV in past year? only twice, once against cm punk MITB and wm28... Apparently you need to cheat to win against cena because he is supercena. How is anyone supposed to get over when they are constantly being buried by supercena? Oh apparently 10 minutes of beating cena up doesn't mean jack squat when he hits 5 moves and wins... unrealistic, boring and phony wrestling. It is killing the business, nobody's character can develop and anyone who feuds with cena is instantly buried. Go look up cena vs orton I quit match... 20 minutes of cenas ass being kicked and 1 minute of beating up orton and orton says i quit. "same old crap". Enough with this boring garbage.

In conclusion, john cena sucks bad and he is killing this business with all the above reasons plus more. To all you stupid cena marks, congratulations your supporting a marketing propaganda plan of Vinces that is crushing this industry. He is turning wrestling from hardcore to pillow fighting. You people that support cena are part of the reason the wwe has been dying. I will never have respect for this guy and neither should you. People continue to tell me how he grants wishes and junk... news flash... not only does a lot more wrestlers do the same but a lot of celebrities do it as well... and he promotes bullying against woman on air by encouraging kids to call eve a ``hoeski`` and publicly humiliating lilian Garcia off air in front of a live crowd for no real reason besides messing up one 1 thing. Referring her as a horse and cannot do anything right. One more thing, why should what someone does for charity affect how you feel about his in ring personality? It shouldn?t whatsoever. You guys can spin it any way you want but at the end of the day, cena sucks. So stop it with the stupid comments about saying how he is so great when he obviously sucks. John cena is not good & all kids covered in cena gear looks like idiots and you will realize it one day. John cena sucks. On the current path of the wwe, I cannot see a future for the wwe. Bring on the negative cena mark comments because I don`t care. I know what is true; I refuse to fall for marketing propaganda that vince shoves down my throat week after week. I don`t see myself watching wwe much longer, maybe a year with the decline of wwe. Hope you guys understand why I don't like cena. Just tired of having to continue explaining this to clueless kids who don't know the slightest thing about wrestling. Until next time take care guys. I really hope losing to rock sets him back from his supercena crap and I hope brock wrecks him. They need to either change him or get rid of him because the current path of the wwe is leading in the gutter.

The Sad Story of Scott Hall and His Demons

This was actually posted earlier in this thread :)

The Lesner and Cena match calls for a "First Blood" match but WWE is too ***** to do it (either that or they will count a "scratch" as blood)

Personally I hope the Sheamus vs Bryan match is a "3 Stages Of Hell" match: Standard, submission, and ladder.

Last Man Standing or I Quit for Punk and Jericho?

This guy is a total tool. I'm sorry, I don't like to bad mouth anyone online in general, but this guy is a moron. Cena ruined the WWE? He ruined the WWE belt? His supercena gimmick? His this, his that? Does this guy even know wrestling is fake? Seriously, reading both of those blog posts, and some of the comments makes me lose all faith in Humanity as a species.

Alright, we get it. You hate Cena. You think he sucks. But jeez, Cena the PERSON isn't doing anything other than what he is being TOLD to do by Vince and the other people in charge of the WWE. Cena is doing his god damn JOB. Holy **** that blog post actually is making me angry lol

I get your point but the blogger in all of his rant does make a good point that AE got very high ratings and PG cant match that. The thing iwth cena the character is that he is portrayed to be this all conquering superman when it should not be like this. Competition is the name of the game even in entertainment he should loose cleanly... in one interview Jericho said something that i uderstood as 'Its pretty much impossible for a heel to win cleanly in PG era' and i completely agree. This has been true ever since cena has become the top dog so to speak.

Characters like ziggler, ryder, tyson kidd, mason ryan and hunico have great talent to become the top contenders in their respective shows. DB is getting there but he needs a lot of fan support to further his career because WWE is not going to push him themselves. He is getting a semi-main eventer status because the fans want to see him. Case in point the AJ and DB angle he worked on raw just after WM28.... overwhelming majority of heels would get booed if they treated a girl that way in sotryline but he wasnt which is quite amusing to say the least. I am quite sure that vince and/or HHH dont like DB that much and they will bury him the minute crowd support fades away (which imo will in a few months tim) this will be a shame because i would really like DB vs CM punk storyline which i believe could be epic.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter - April 23 Issue is out today

Dave Meltzer wrote "They are now targeting somewhere between October and December to kick off the network."

I think Its referring to WWE Network. I hope Network could end up on Time Warner cable. If not, Network goes to Xbox Live, Playstation Network or YouTube Live. :)

The 1,000th episode of Raw special will be 7/23 in St. Louis, which will be a three-hour live show.

The 4/23 show was at one point earmarked for the draft. I?ve heard rumblings of the draft being on the three-hour show on 6/11 from Hartford but anything that far out is subject to change. There was talk last week about not even bothering with a draft, given that everyone is on Raw every week anyway and guys like McIntyre, Del Rio, Kane and Show have switched brands back and forth. There is the feeling that some wrestlers need a change of scenery, with Ziggler?s and Orton?s name being mentioned, but the Smackdown house shows need Orton unless they move Punk to Smackdown and make him the star of the show, but then you get the title situation as Punk would have to lose, but if he lost and switched, that would end the Jericho program and that program has life left in it.

WWE Fires Andy Leavine - Details

Why I'm I not surprised this was coming? The guy wins the Tough Enough competition and gets suspended right after for failing the wellness program drug test. What the hell did he expect? He's lucky they kept him that long.

Source: http://www.ewrestlin...leavine-details

According to sources, WWE has released Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine. Leavine had been working in WWE developmental as Kevin Hackman.

Leavine won the return season of Tough Enough in April of 2011, but had been a part of the WWE developmental system prior to the show.

Leavine was seen in vignettes about his training to become a WWE star and was never utilized again on the main roster. He also was suspended one time under the WWE's Wellness Policy.

Nikki Bella wins the Divas title?!

Jim-Cornette.jpg

F**k this company.

Sadly, it wasn't intentional. Beth Phoenix was legitimately injured. I thought it was kayfabe at first, but when I saw Beth after the match, it was pretty clear it was genuine. :(

I seriously need to read better. WON's reporting it's a work, and that the plan is to

set up to a Divas title match between Beth Phoenix and Kharma. The Bellas are still reported to be leaving WWE, as their contract expires on Monday (the night after Extreme Rules), so it's likely Nikki will drop the title to Kharma at Extreme Rules.

A lot of umm 'feeling' in brock's promo on raw lol that was bad bad promo. The guy was not this bad from what i remember. He needs a talker to be his manager.

The best part

'I feel this vibration... i am liking what i am feeling'

'This is a real feeling that you are feeling because i can feel it'

'I am the reason that you are feeling the way you are feeling'

Just LOL

I've never been a fan of Brock. Not only on the surface level did I find nothing redeeming about his character (even heels have to be enjoyable to watch), but I got a genuine feeling he was a bit of a dick in real life. And he cannot work a mic for ****!

Hmm... Punk is described as an ass in real life as well... the holier than though attitude of his rubs every body the wrong way.

Personally, i dont really care how these guys are in real life.... but Jericho being my favourite superstar ever is an exception. Jericho is supposed to be a very very nice guy and his beef with Goldberg was due to goldberg being a monumental ass to him.

Thats neither here nor there, what i am trying to say is i am one of those guys who enjoys mic skills but dont really think they are that important.

Gimme Benoit vs Regal any day of the week and i will be a happy camper.

Having met Jericho, I can verify that he is really personable, was a real laugh and made time for everyone. I met him while touring with Fozzy - he played the smallest, ********* venue in my hometown, and rocked it like Wembley Stadium!

A lot of umm 'feeling' in brock's promo on raw lol that was bad bad promo. The guy was not this bad from what i remember. He needs a talker to be his manager.

Can't remember if it's his first book or his last one but he goes into what happened between them. Good read, both of them.

The browser downloads its updates in the background and installs them when you open it again. Silently. And there's no "wait for a new version to install", updates are small and take 2-3 extra seconds AT MOST, if any. If you have an SSD, there's zero extra time. Also, every mainstream browser operates this way. Firefox, the FOSS go-to browser, the default on almost every Linux distro, does exactly the same. Also, you don't need to constantly restart Edge for updates to install, you can completely ignore them and it doesn't even ask you to handle them, it's all silent and automatic. So I don't understand what else do you want.
    • DuRoBo Krono Review: Portable E-Ink reader with great ideas that need a bit of improvement by Taras Buria Phone-sized e-readers are gaining traction these days, with more people treating them as a getaway device to cure phone addiction (or at least they are trying to) or having a more pocket-friendly reader that is easier to carry and hold. The market now has plenty of such readers to choose from, and DuRoBo is the latest addition, a new player that offers a more interesting approach to the idea. The Krono is a $279 e-reader with an interesting twist, which tries to make the device more fun and ergonomic. Here is my review. Disclaimer: DuRoBo provided the review sample without any editorial input or pre-approval. The Krono comes in a phone-sized box with pink accents. Inside, you get the device itself, a short user manual, and a USB cable. The cable is a bit old-fashioned, Type-A to Type-C, which is a bit disappointing. Hot take: I would rather have no cable in the box rather than another Type-A cable that gets immediately thrown into my box full of similar cables I never use. The Krono also has no charger in the box, as it relies on accessories you already own, which is fine with me. Do not approach this device thinking it can serve you as a dumb phone to cure your TikTok addiction. In addition to the fact that the Krono has no cellular connectivity, I strongly believe that no amount of extra devices can fix your phone addiction until you put some serious effort into it. The Krono is a phone-sized e-reader, a companion for your phone dedicated to reading without distractions. The DuRoBo Krono is made of plastic with a very fine texture. It is hardly premium, but I also cannot say it feels cheap. The device is also a bit thick, quite dense, and well-built without rattling or cracking. You get to choose between two colors: white and black. The front has quite thick bezels, which is hardly surprising for an e-ink device. These things use front light, with LEDs usually placed on the screen perimeter. While I do not mind thicker bezels, the notably larger chin cheapens the look a little. What I mind is a notable seam between the display and the main case, which, after just two days of use, collected plenty of dust and specks. The back of the Krono is what makes the device stand out. There is a cylinder (DuRoBo calls it the Axis) embedded in the back of the reader, housing three elements: a power button on the right edge, a Smart Dial on the left edge, and "Breathing Lights" on the back. An etched DuRoBo logo sits below the cylinder, and it is the only piece of branding you can find on the device. Overall, the design and materials are very unassuming, but the cylinder with additional control elements certainly elevates the look and makes it more interesting. Other physical elements include two microphones (one on the top edge and one on the bottom edge), a USB Type-C port, a volume rocker, and a single mono speaker. There is no fingerprint reader, so if you want to protect your device, a PIN is your only option. The official TPU case is not the most premium-looking Display The Krono has a 6.1-inch E-Ink Carta 1200 touchscreen display with a resolution of 1,648 x 824 pixels (300 ppi). The display is front-lit, and you can adjust the brightness and temperature from cool to warm. Unfortunately, the Krono lacks automatic brightness and temperature adjustments, and you cannot set a custom schedule for the frontlight. However, you can set it to always enable frontlight so that you can see what is happening on the screen when turning it on in a dark environment. On the bright side (get it?), the front light can get extremely dim so that the screen is barely readable in a pitch-dark room. The front light is also uniform across the screen, with no noticeable temperature gradients. I am very susceptible to uneven front light, and it is very easy for me to notice it, but the Krono is doing a very good job in this area. I also like that the edge shadow is not very prominent and barely visible in the black variant. E-Ink Carta 1200 is not the newest generation (there are Carta 1250 and 1300), but it is still a good display. It supports three modes: Clarity, Speed, and Quality. In Clarity mode, text is very sharp and easy to read, but you trade that for more ghosting, a slower refresh rate, and more artifacts when the display changes images. Speed mode, as the name suggests, boosts refresh rate and reduces ghosting, but fine print and text become more jagged. Finally, Quality mode is only available in Android apps. It has the lowest refresh rate, but in return, you get much better visuals, improved gradients, and more. Like brightness and temperature, you can toggle modes from the control center. It is available when swiping from the top-right corner of the screen (the top-left is for notifications). I also like that the Krono can work as a desk clock when not in use. It has a bunch of screensavers, including horizontal clocks with time, date, and current battery level. The screen refreshes once per minute, and battery drain is extremely low (not even 1% in 24 hours). It is a great use of the technology, and another thing I wish more e-ink devices featured. Smart Dial The Smart Dial is Krono's main party trick. It sits on the left side of the device and serves multiple purposes. You can twist or press it to perform various actions, depending on the current use case scenario. When reading books, twisting the dial flips through pages, and pressing it refreshes the screen. On the home screen, the dial adjusts the brightness, and holding the dial pressed launches voice note recording. Finally, a quick double press launches the DuRoBo AI chatbot. While the dial scroll is not notched, it is very smooth and has haptic feedback that confirms your actions, which feels very nice. As a long-term Apple Watch user, I love the idea behind the dial. It feels very natural and oddly satisfying to use, especially with that subtle haptic feedback. I never liked flipping pages with touch input, and I strongly believe each e-reader should come with some sort of physical controls for turning pages. The Krono has both volume buttons (which also work as page turners) and the dial, so you are free to use whichever you prefer. With that said, the dial is not perfect. For one, it sticks out of the case way too far for my liking, raising concerns about durability and longevity when carrying the Krono around in a pocket (it is a pocket-sized device after all). Also, it has too much wobble, which cheapens the experience and makes it feel a bit flimsy and unsecured. While there are two plastic guards on the Krono's case, they are way too small for any kind of protection. I also think DuRoBo should let users customize dial actions (the only available customization is scroll direction), particularly for long and double presses. Not everyone needs voice notes, and DuRoBo AI does not work without an active internet connection, leaving the long press essentially useless when offline. I do not mind these features, and I genuinely think they are useful, but I would rather have the ability to toggle between screen modes, turn the frontlight on/off, or launch my favorite app. I also agree with people on Reddit asking developers to let users adjust the dial sensitivity. I hope this is something DuRoBo can implement with a software update to make the experience more personalized (it is a Smart Dial, after all) and incentivize users to fiddle with the Dial more often. The Dial is a fantastic idea, so please, guys, improve it a little. As for ergonomics, they are mostly fine, but the dial's position may feel a little awkward and way too high. When I use a phone or a phone-sized gadget, I tend to rest one of its corners on my palm for a more secure grip. With the Krono, such a grip is impossible because you cannot reach the dial even with big hands. You have to lower the reader a bit and hold it like a bottle without any extra support for the bottom edge. Such a grip is not necessarily uncomfortable (the Krono is also light enough for it), but it requires a bit of muscle retraining. Sometimes, I do not bother with the dial and hold the Krono like my phone, flipping through pages with volume buttons, as they are perfectly positioned for my right-hand thumb. Interestingly, when testing the Krono, I would often find myself thinking that a roller embedded in the long plastic cylinder on the back of the device would have been a much more comfortable solution. There is a free idea for you, guys. Software The Krono runs Android 15 with a very minimal launcher on top. The home screen presents you with a list of apps, a scrollable list of widgets, and your user profile. Widgets can display time, calendar, or recent books for quick access. You can also add or remove apps from the home screen to keep the most useful stuff around without tapping "Apps." I like this minimalistic approach; it looks clean, easy to understand, and light. I understand that some may find the list of all apps way too clean, but fortunately, DuRoBo lets you switch to traditional icons. The reader also has a bunch of preinstalled apps: Read: The default app for reading. Browser: A Chromium-based browser. Files: A simple file manager. Music: A simple music player. Spark: A voice recorder with transcription support and AI summarization DuRoBo AI: A built-in AI chatbot. Transfer: An app for file transfer over Wi-Fi. If that is not enough, there is the Google Play Store, where you can download all the extra apps you need, alternative readers, podcast apps, chatbots, and more. DuRoBo is not trying to give you an all-in-one device. The standard software experience is quite minimal, which makes it easy to approach and learn. The standard reader supports EPUB, EPUB3, AZW3, MOBI, PDF, TXT, DOC, and DOCX, which is more than enough to let you read most books without third-party software. As for customizing the reading experience, you can select one of five built-in fonts, adjust size and thickness, adjust margins and spacing (only three variants for each), change text alignment and direction, toggle the reading status bar, and switch to dark mode. There is also text-to-speech, which utilizes Android's default TTS tech. While I like the simplistic approach, I cannot help but feel DuRoBo could have made the built-in reader a bit more customizable. However, I am not going to bog down on this, as you can always install any other reader you prefer using the Play Store or by sideloading an APK. Getting books to the Krono is very simple. Given that the device is an Android smartphone without cellular connectivity, you can transfer files via a USB Type-C cable, download them using the built-in browser, share them over Bluetooth, or use cloud storage. My favorite was the built-in Transfer app. It is simple, reliable, and very well-designed. I was surprised by how well-designed the web portal is. It is fast, pretty, and properly categorized. Well done! Once you have your books loaded, you can highlight or underline text, add annotations, bookmark pages, check the table of contents, and ask AI about the selected text. Unfortunately, the Krono has no built-in vocabulary, but again, that is something a third-party reader could fix. Overall, the built-in reader is light and snappy, with just the minimum amount of features for a regular user to enjoy reading books. The Krono has no built-in reading tracking, so stat nerds will have to look for third-party reading apps. However, you can set a daily reading goal, and the reader will notify you when you reach it (for example, one hour). You can also set a reminder to read at a certain time, and when the time comes, the Krono will light up its back LEDs and unlock itself to nudge you. Other than that, the rear LEDs do nothing, not even showing charging progress, which is an unfortunate misopportunity if you ask me. Quirks aside, Krono's Android runs quite snappily and bug-free. Early reviews of the Krono criticized its Android 13-based software quite a lot, but now, the reader runs Android 15, and its software has fixed plenty of initial complaints. I never experienced any issues with built-in apps. AI attempts The DuRoBo Krono comes with a built-in AI chatbot. There is no information on what model powers this thing, but the system says it was "trained by Google." You can launch the bot from the app list or by double-pressing the dial. It works just like any other chatbot, and you can ask it anything by typing or using voice input. The AI saves your chats, and you can rename, export, or delete them. DuRoBo AI requires an active internet connection, and it does not work offline. Its reach and capabilities are also limited. You can only chat in the app and use it in the reader app as a makeshift vocabulary. However, the implementation is kinda awkward. You can only send a selected portion of text to AI without giving it any requests or instructions. I highlighted the word "dumb," and it apologized to me for not being useful. You also cannot ask follow-up questions or send the generated response to a separate chat. The chatbot is also slow, even with fast Wi-Fi, making the overall experience quite frustrating, which makes me again wish for the ability to remap the double press to something else. Spark, the standard voice recording app, also uses AI for note summarization and transcribing. Neither feature works offline, unfortunately. Spark records notes up to 30 minutes using Krono's dual microphones, and you can rename or export notes. Transcription quality is decent, and the speed is alright, but you can find much better solutions in the Google Play Store. What I like about Spark is that transcribed notes are not locked, and you can always type more to elaborate on your ideas, which is handy. Overall, I like that the Krono is not shoving AI down my throat, but to be honest, there is really not that much to shove. AI features here feel raw and need improvements to be more useful. Battery Life Like most E-Ink readers, the Krono has fantastic battery life. Even with a clock as a screensaver, its standby power consumption is incredibly low. And when in use, you can get weeks of reading on a single charge. Without the front light, my unit never sipped more than one or two percent of battery during a one-hour reading session. It was nice to see plenty of battery-related settings. You can limit charging at 80% to protect battery health long-term, check the number of charging cycles, manufacturing/first-time use date, battery health, and the maximum capacity. Additionally, the Krono lets you select what hardware remains enabled when sleeping. This lets you keep Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on (say, if you want to receive notifications, for some reason) and keep audio playing when locked. Turning these features off effectively eliminates any standby battery drain. I left my Krono sitting for 24 hours with a clock screensaver on, and it did not drop a single percent. The pretty big 3,950 mAh battery justifies the device's thickness and ensures you do not have to charge it for long periods. Speaking of charging, it is capped at only 10W, which is a bit disappointing, as getting such a big battery to 100% takes a notably long time in the era of super-fast charging smartphones. DuRoBo Moodi The Moodi is a standalone, optional accessory for your Krono. It is a wireless remote with two customizable buttons that you can use to flip pages, control media, or scroll webpages. The accessory connects via Bluetooth. Despite having a built-in rechargeable battery, it is extremely light. While the Moodi's shape and form factor is not what I would call particularly ergonomic, it is not uncomfortable to hold and use. The Moodi comes with six removable magnetic buttons with various smiley faces. Buttons sit securely, and they have nice-feeling, albeit a little loud, clicks. It is a cute touch that adds a little more fun and character to the device. There is also an accented power button and a single status LED. The latter displays charging status and connection mode. The Moodi supports three modes: Reading: Buttons work as volume buttons, allowing you to flip pages in the built-in reader or other apps that support page turning with volume buttons. Media: Buttons work as skip forward/backward, which is useful when listening to audiobooks, podcasts, or music. Scroll: The third mode lets you scroll pages in the web browser or any other application The Krono properly detects the Moodi and presents you with an on-screen guide when you connect it for the first time (it also displays the battery level). However, you can only change modes by holding both buttons for a few seconds. It is also worth noting that the Moodi works with other devices. I connected it to my iPhone and it let me adjust volume or control media playback. Sadly, the scroll did not work, so you cannot use it to waste time scrolling TikToks. Overall, the Moodi is a cute little accessory, which I can recommend for those who read a lot. It is very useful for remote page flipping when you do not want to burden your hands by holding the Krono all the time. I only wish DuRoBo included a lanyard for the built-in loop. As for the battery life, after using the Moodi for a few days, I only managed to drop several percent of its 90 mAh battery. Despite the small size, it is rated for weeks of use, which is pretty impressive. At $35.99, I cannot say the Moodi is a must-have accessory, but I see the appeal. I prefer using the Krono with its Smart Dial, as I rarely read for more than 40-60 minutes in one sitting. However, if you have a stand and like reading for long periods, the Moodi is the right thing to have. It is a bit more expensive than regular page flippers on Amazon, but it is on par with similar products from Kobo or BOOX. Plus, it has a little more fun to it with removable buttons and better integration into the Krono. Conclusion At the end of the day, DuRoBo Krono is a nice pocket-sized e-reader. Its software focuses on the main things without trying to be everything at once. The smart dial idea is unique and great, and I wish more manufacturers had something similar in their devices. The display is also good, with an even frontlight and "always-on" support. I did not notice any deal-breaking issues with the Krono. However, you can feel that the idea needs some improvements, such as a slightly stiffer dial in a more ergonomic location, perhaps a little more premium materials, and better software customization. I hope the company won't give up on the idea and improve the dial and ergonomics in the second generation. • In what way is any of what I said incorrect? To install an update you need to close all browser instances, upping it from once a month to once a fortnight is an inconvenience for users. Particularly when updates don't offer functionality that users want (notably copilot). Security updates should come as they are needed, not on a release schedule
