Taeler Hendrix alleged in an interview over the weekend that TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter felt she was too ?heavy? to be on television.

Carter?s reaction was in response to Hendrix?s match against Mickie James on the June 6 episode of Impact Wrestling?her final bout for the organization.

?I do have my qualms. Don?t tell me on my birthday that I?m ?heavy? to be on TV,? Hendrix said about Carter on The Greg DeMarco Show. ?I?m a size three, that?s not fat at all! I?m a role model for young girls, there?s nothing plastic about me.?

Compared to her figure the year prior, Hendrix felt she was ?too skinny,? noting that she ?got really skinny just to get on television.? She continued, ?Someone said I looked like a skeleton, and then I started looking at my pictures and I was like ?Oh my God, I really do!? I?m taller than [most female wrestlers] but I?m not bigger than them.?

Hendrix also revealed that she put on weight following a recent cancer scare.

?On top of that, my cancer stuff came back. I had no choice to gain weight, and I?m really happy that I did,? said Hendrix. ?What I?m battling right now is cervical cancer?and when I say battling I mean I?m trying to not get it. I wasn?t setting a good example. I felt like I was a hypocrite. I would rather be healthy and stay cancer free.?

Hendrix also addressed her departure from TNA Wrestling, the mood in Ohio Valley Wrestling, Velvet Sky and other topics. Additional highlights from the interview are as follows:

Her departure from TNA Wrestling: ?It was kind of a whirlwind ? a long time in the making ? I was super-duper unhappy ? the All-American Dream ? BAM! Hit in the face! It?s not happening girl, wake up! I got papers in the mail to re-sign for another year in developmental at OVW for TNA ? Before I could tell them that I wouldn?t re-sign, I got the call the day before my contract expired to tell me I was released. ? Maybe they can use that spot for someone they actually know what they want to do with. ? I?m not offended?I?m a lot happier.?

Whether the mood in Ohio Valley Wrestling has changed since the recent TNA releases: ?Yes, actually. Now that I?m not signed anymore, I think I?m enjoying it more?from an OVW standpoint. ? It?s home? There?s wrestling every single week, you can?t get more work than that. ? I am loving my character right now, she?s awesome. ? She?s like that girl we all hated in high school. ? A lot of people who were released, they?re gone.?

Velvet Sky: ?She has found a way to stick it out ? and she was released at one point. ? Velvet Sky is money. ? And if I have someone who makes me money, I?m going to keep them around. ? She?s not the best wrestler in the world, but neither am I. ? She makes money. ? Velvet Sky has some of the most loyal fans in the world. ? She has a great personality, in ring and out. ? And you know what? She?s gotten much better. ? I?m a fan?she can keep letting the pigeons loose. ? That girl?s a hot commodity.?

Hendrix also discusses the online reaction to her release, her upcoming appearances for Shine Wrestling, how she keeps finding family in wrestling, her goals outside of the professional wrestling industry and more. To listen to the interview, click here.

Nice one, Dixie. Drop one of the rising female stars because she wasn't a skeleton. And to add irony to injury, did she forget who TNA's most popular knockout (that didn't come from WWE) of all-time is? Awesome Kong.

The following video has been released featuring Randy Orton being attacked by a fan after his match against Big E. Langston at tonight's WWE Live Event in Cape Town, South Africa. The incident takes place at about 1:15 into the video:

ImpactWrestling.com has just reported that legendary Japanese wrestler The Great Muta met with TNA officials at the TNA offices in Nashville, TN earlier today.

The report notes that TNA and Muta, who runs Japan's WRESTLE-1 promotion, discussed potential opportunities between the two companies.

According to PWInsider.com, Muta met with Jeff Jarrett and TNA's Andy Barton about potentially sending talent from his WRESTLE-1 promotion to TNA.

While it's merely speculation at this point, one would assume that if WRESTLE-1 does indeed send talent to TNA, then TNA would send talent to Japan in exchange.

The report noted that famed Japanese photographer Jimmy Suzuki was also present at today's meeting.

Even if nothing comes out of it, the way TNA is at the moment, it's still good news.

TNA's now teasing the bejesus out of their #August1Warning thing...

Makes it sound like it's another MMA fighter.

The Batista mention was because he retweeted the original video.

Can't really make out the reverse speak during the alarm clock sound; it's "This is the *unintelligible*", it might be "This is the truth".

Loads of names being thrown around; the ones I'm seeing most often (besides Bob Holly and Adam Pearce, which have already been mentioned) are Low Ki, Bobby Lashley, and Tito Ortiz. Ortiz is apparently seeking a UFC comeback due to money issues, so I could believe Bellator snapping him up and having him on the same deal as Rampage Jackson.

I thought Jeff ran the company really, not Dixie. If i were him i'd fire Dixie Carter for pile driving TNA into the ground. I want the old 6 side ring back too.

Nope. Double J's vice-president and minority shareholder. Dixie's president, and her dad is majority shareholder.

^ So yeah, it was a local wrestler trying to make himself famous. Well done, mate, now the internet will see you as a massive prick. (Y)

Right, regarding TNA's #August1Warning thing, I'm definitely putting my (imaginary) chips down on Tito Ortiz now after seeing this...

They're probably gonna use Impact Wrestling to help hype up the fight; a little cross-promo work.

    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time

    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition
