never used this before. might gonna try it later on today. thanks for the news (Y)

I use it and I have to tell you, it is not bloated like Nero and it is faster and better than Nero. I have yet to see a coaster with it. Works great.

Yeah I love most of Ashampoo's software. I got Ashampoo Burning Studio 7 for free last year, and I got 8 for free recently also. I love it, nice and fast, not bloated.

Version 8 is not an official release yet so be careful with it. It gives me the impression it is a fake.

I'm sure that you have to pay for the upgrade. I remember getting these annoying emails from Ashampoo after I downloaded/installed my free full version. The email was something like giving me disocunts for an upgrade, blah blah.

As cswimbound says, if there's no difference, people will just get the 6.6 for free, and do a free upgrade :) Ashampoo = broke

I think they are giving up on the idea of charging for the software since it can easily be cracked.
