Finally I can switch back to IE.

I love how IE8 doesn't open new tabs all over the place. If you type in a URL why does IE7 feel the need to keep your current tab and open a new one?

IE7 emulation is kind of required but I'm liking it already.

I beleave you have it set that way. iirc you can change that in IE7. It doesn't open a new tab when I type in a url in the address bar etc.

Remember, this release is targetted at web developers. There are a few other nice new user-facing features (crash recovery, and not having to open new windows for Protected Mode IE to be on/off for different tabs, etc), but this is far from the complete IE 8 experience.

Great post Brandon, pretty much sums it all up for this release, I can't wait for the next build to roll out :)

So far so good.. It's Beta 1 so what's wrong will be wrong I'm sure.. will only get better??? The only issue I have is the websites I visit not IE7 or 8 compatible or is the IE8 rendering engine changed?? I still have broken pages and some pages are displaying WAY WAY wrong in IE8 B1... just a thought but a good beta!!

Tell them to add integrated spell check ;)
