I was playing this morning, was going to go online and it froze.

i just killed playboy

So i tried reloading my save and guess what, it doesn't load, i waited and waited incase it did, but it definately had died.

I decided to start again after that and have been playing non stop for the last 7-8 hours, and it just froze the ps, and yet again i have lost my save.

I am not a happy bunny. -_-

Ouch :/

I finally completed the single player mode, brilliant.

Can someone tell me if you can have more than one "single" player game saved at one time, on the 360. So multiple people can play the single player mode without them completing missions on my save. I hope that makes sense because it's pretty hard to word :s

Anyone know if using cheats actually doesn?t effect your game % when you've completed it..? Got to 45% now but i want to be able to use the Armour cheat as its annoying keep going to the store...

I'd like to know too, I was at a friends when he typed in the Armour/Health cheat and it popped up saying it has blocked achievements. Does this mean for the rest of the game or whilst you are attempting to complete an achievement? For example completing 10 combat battles in 4 minutes, if I had used the health cheat earlier int he game but not during these ten kills would I get the achievement? Same applies for surviving 5 minutes on a 6 star wanted level and using the ''decrease wanted level'' cheat.

They both will affect you getting achievements. Not sure if they will affect you getting 100%, but if your going for achievements, not going to happen. There's one or two that won't affect a couple of achievements, but most do.

I'm beginning to wonder why it is getting such high scores, after playing it since release I've had freezes, been stuck at the loading screen, failed missions because of dumb AI, smacked into rubble that appeared by magic, the controls on foot feel clunky and the cover system doesn't feel right. I could go on but I'll only get shot down :p

Sure GTA IV is a good game but I think "hype" is contributing to these review scores.

My Xbox 360 is currently broken (freezing problem). According to Xbox tech support, it's going to cost me $110 CAD to get it fixed. I'm tempted to get it fixed and buy GTA IV. My question is, would it be worth $110 + $59.99 just for GTA IV? I've read reviews all over the place and I constantly see good things. It even got a 10/10 on IGN & Gamespot.

I kind of agree. The controls can sometimes drive me insane... Trying to climb down a ladder never seems to work for me. Once I pressed Y to go down, but instead of getting on the ladder Niko decided to run in a circle and fall off down the hole (it was on top of a crane) which killed me :p I was not happy.

Finally Got a Copy. My Local Tescos got 2 copies in for the 360 and I managed to snag one.

I have been playing it all day and am very impressed.

The driving took a while to get the hang of, but I think I have it sussed now.

The only thing I don't really like is the effect they have used on anything more than a few feet from you. It's looks like a painting. (I think this has been covered to death in a different thread)

Spent most of my playing time going on rampages and playing online. Only got to the part where you meet Brucie in single player

I think you've just been unlucky. The controls aren't perfect, and the AI isn't always Einstein, but for me the good defiantly out weighs the bad.

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with adblockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Opera Air'. It still has some bloat, but nowhere near as much as Brave browser, for example. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. I have a system wide Adblocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the the web browser, but over the whole thing. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt adblocker because of that.
