Safari Builds

Extract the files to a folder, run the "run-nightly-webkit.cmd" file that come with it.

I should have said, Safari 3.0.4 needs to be installed first.

ok safari 3.1 nightly

The webkit nightlies are what Safari 3.1 will be, they just go byt the rendering engine name rather than Safari.

How come after running the webkit... if I open Safari again... without clicking run-webkit... then it reverts back to the old version?

Yay thanks. However the Safari about page is still showing 3.04? (523.15) after installing the nighly build?

They wont change the version until final I guess.

BTW, the latest nightly its LIGHTING fast!

I toally agree. It is really fast but only thing is that it crashes sometimes on closing!

Webkit its Safari.

Safari is a browser, while WebKit is an engine (used by Safari and others).

I can't seem to get Safari 3.1.* running stable in my machine. :pinch:

The latest nightly WebKit r31232 scores a 95/100 on Acid3, it is the same nightly number as the Windows version, so I would think the Windows version also scores a 95. The WebKit team made 3 or 4 blog posts in the last week, they were at 88/100 I think? and now they are almost to 100.
