Audi's sales have never been this high (again)

What SUV cannot be classified as mini van in terms of size nowadays? ;)

In North American, there's a certain stigma about minivans. Ever heard about soccer moms? There are women who try not to be associated with this term and would rather drive an SUV.

And those who live in the states with snowy winters (and the Canadians) know damn well that 4x4 comes in handy even in urban areas in winter time. ;) Most minivans are FWD.

ive never known it to be bad personally.

Ive always Driven ######, and I cant see me ever being without an Audi in the future.

it is a shame the exclusivity has been reduced, but its not like a ford focus or anything (hopefully never will be that common).

I wasn't too impressed with ######'s overall quality throughout the 90s, at least for the models they sold here in the states. In the past 10 years, however, things have really changed across the board - with VW, Audi and Porsche. VW's customer service (not to mention their supply chain) is still considered fairly crappy over here, though I've never had to deal with them.

To be fair, I've seen far less problems with any German car that was properly cared for (ie: proper maintenance schedule at a quality, experienced mechanic using quality parts and fluids). Then again, I've had odd minor quirks (mostly of the electrical variety) with just about every German car I've ever owned. I still wouldn't drive anything else, though.

See, now I have boundless respect for that choice of car. I'd argue that it offers all of the practicality of the Q7 (apart from ground clearance - but then how many Q7 owners drive off road?), blistering performance and the knowledge that there aren't that many cars on the road that'll touch it.

I like going off road once in a while but I have no capabilities here. Anyway, you're probably going to shoot me but I still think the Q7 is more subtle than the RS4. No one will know a V12 TDI is hidden underneath the hood but with the RS4 - and its sound - everyone knows it's no normal Audi attracting way too much attention and not alone from other drivers.

Once again, I never - or hardly - make a judgement before driving the car. If the Q7 doesn't satisfy me I'll probably need to go for an RS again but 580 hp in a family car doesn't quite suite me.

I can't tell you how envious I am of you owning one of those mate :)

It didn't come to my garage at once, I worked for it. Also, to be completely honest, it's a company car. Long story but in the end you can say the company paid for it.

I'm well aware of that, I was talking size wise. :)

As some of you may now, I had to buy ( or order ) a new car and decided to stick to Audi. It remains to be a great company, even if they overdo the whole LED thing nowadays. Just look around, how many Audi's are there now compared to 8 years ago?

R8 > Porsche - no way.

Be more specific Carrera GT > R8, R8 > Boxster :p

I wish Audi never made the stupid pathetic Q7, I love Audi I really do, there's just no point in any of the SUV's stick to a land rover defender if people want to do offroading.

All Audi's pwned except Q7 & A2.

If I was to buy an Audi again it would have to be the Audi rs2!!! tuned and tweaked by Porsche and looks gooood

You could but it would be like:

911 GT2 > Audi R8

Carrera GT >= Audi R8 ( This is personal but I just don't like the Carrera GT, it's not a Porsche. )

Other Porsches < Audi R8

What about the Land Rover Vogue and Sport? The latter can handle some "off road" but the first one has its troubles. The Q7 is a SUV designed for "on road" but it can handle some, not a lot, "off road". There was and still is a market for SUVs such as the BMW X3/5, Audi Q5/7, Mercedes ML/G and so on. People want to buy those vehicles so as a manufacturer you would be stupid not to create them. If you then put the X5, Q7, ML, XC90 and the Touareg together you notice that Audi has made a great SUV beating most of its competition.

I'll have to agree on the A2 if you look at its design. It was a great city car nonetheless. I disagree about the Q7 but I'm sure you know why. If not, read above.

The RS2 was a great car indeed, Porsche had a good influence in it. However, if you like the RS2, you should check out the old RS4 or the new RS6. You'll be blown away, especially by the RS6.

I am a great fan of audi so, I know about the Rs4/Rs6, but I'm just saying Rs2 was good, and I'd still have one over an RS6, even though it does have a few hundread less HP.

I do also agree that The Q7 is better looking than all other SUV's

I even prefer it the range rover sport, however the sport is realyl good at offroading. youtube:Top Gear Range Rover Sport Tank, should come up with something.

But there still is no need for an SUV tbh, I doubt anyone who has one actually ever goes offroading, it's just to pick the kids up from school or to make sure there bigger then everyone else on the road, so therefore I hate them :(

I don't need to tell you anything else right? There's only 1 brand for me. I'm extremely happy to see this growth. Like no other!

Four rings to rule them all! :)

Nice cars!

Do all of them get used on a regular basis?

I'm thinking about doing something similar. But with an M3/M5/M Roadster instead.

I disagree with you on many things, however...

nice collection!

What's happened to your S5, Boz?

Unfortunately I passed on it. It was too much money. Unrealistically too much money. I ended up with the amount of $1100 per month for a $55k car. This is because their financing and rates were and still are off the hook because the car is so hot. So I've decided to go with Q7. The deal i got on it instead was unbeatable. They paid me money to get it :) and it's a wonderful vehicle. The MSRP on it was $54k and my monthly is like $750 with $0 drive off. Can't beat that.

I will probably get a pimped out S5 end of year when this hype goes away and they give more realistic numbers.

I just sold my TT, so I will fill the spot with that one.

Not really.. don't get 3 cars if you are single. 2 is enough.

I drove TT on weekends for the most part and A6 on daily basis with Q7 if I had to go a bigger distance or out of town on weekends. I sneak a TT on a daily drive to the coffee shop if it's nice weather but overall as I said.

At this point.. I will get rid of A6, I already sold the TT and I will only have Q7 and later in the year I will get the S5 and be done. S5 for daily drives and weekends and Q7 for larger distance commutes and weekend lake fun.

Why would it be bad?

It's bad when you're driving and you see a clone of your Audi

I got my A4 last August and I absolutely adore it. I hope to keep this baby for a long time. I also read that Audi is looking into electrics when the next 10 years, so that would be a cool upgrade.
