I personally loved it. But I still have a ton of questions.

What happend to Skids and Mudflap? Last seen was Mudflap just beating the crap out of Devastator... soo what happend?

What's up with the duplicates of the Constructicons?

What happend to the Pods which destroyed the carrier?

What happend to the world's reaction to the Fallen's televised speech? It wouldn't make sense if they just went on with their lives after a speech from an evil robot.

Edited by Razorwing

Seen it last night and to above my friend ask the exact same question about Skids and Mudflap :p

I thought it was a decent movie, between the first and last half it dragged the story a bit, but all in all I think it was definitely worth the ?3.00 =D Robots kicking each others ass' is exactly what makes it so good:DD

OMG SO AWESOME!!! SENSOR OVERLOAD!!!

Cons: Not enough Arcee, or characterization/proper introduction to each of the transformers.

Pro: Everything ELSE!!! Nuff said.

A loads of Special Effects, Action scenes are very Damn JAW-DROPPING!!! HOLY **** type of never-before-seen scenes! The couple main babes that got to Kiss Shia/Sam are Damn FINE as hell!!!

I can see how critics disliked this, but I don't think any fans of the 1st one should you know.

It's basically the First movie X 10!!!

Just got back from seeing it. Does everyone remember the BIG fight seen at the end of the first movie?. Well take that fight scene and take it times 200. That would be the last hour of transformers 2. The amount of CG in this movie is just mind blowing. Course the story sucks, acting sucks, jokes aren't funny. But the action, good god the action.

I actually feel the acting was Pretty good definitely way better than majority of the Crap I rented, Trust me!!

The story is better than I thought after hearing negative reviews, I thought that Cybertron backstory wouldn't even be in this movie! I thought there is NO story about a lot of thing after the crap I've heard!

But they are in the movie, more detailed than I expect from the low expectation I set after hearing bad reviews

Some people just expect too Oscar-worthy about this movie! They compare this movie to Dark Knight or something... sheesh!

And some jokes are basically the first movie's jokes X 100

YES it's Childish NOT most mature but that's just the way I prefer it sometimes, it's the Trademark Michael Bay style!

If you have the ability to watch it at an IMAX, I highly recommend it. It is a typical Bay movie. The plot is ok and there is too much unnecessary dialog with unnecessary characters(though less than the first one). However, it has big robots kicking butt so who cares. I thought the movie rocked. Not the best movie of the summer(Star Trek) but still a good way to spend 2 1/2 hours.

Went to see it last night and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. Yes there were some irritating characters, and the comedy was a bit purile. However it's a Bay movie, and it's Transformers, what else would really be expected. I wonder if some of the bad reviewers are expecting oscar winning performances instead of 2.5 hours of mindless action and fun.

Highly recommend it to anyone, great movie

*DEJA VU* Transformers is Star Wars Prequels ALL over again!

Despite the Sith/Jedi/Special Effects/Action WAY better than the Original trilogy, people Complain & Moan it sucks,

Yes, I agree Plot/Great Acting is good sometimes, but sometimes I rather see Jaw-Dropping Action/CGI instead!

WHY do people hate Action movies SO MUCH, especially since this is a Action Cartoon/Toy based movie, anyway?

I can understand NON-Fans hate it, but the Fanboys are acting like their LIVES are Ruined or something when not everything is how they expected!

Ya know, the critics are being really harsh, but the facts don't lie:

"Transformers" $60.6 million debut topples record

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Action movie "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" pummeled U.S. box offices on its Wednesday debut, raking in $60.6 million in the second biggest single-day gross ever, box office watchers said on Thursday.

The effects rich, alien versus robot war movie, came close to eclipsing last year's single-day debut of Batman movie "The Dark Knight," which posthumously starred actor Heath Ledger and took in $67.2 million in domestic markets on its Friday debut.

Opening day ticket sales for "Transformers," released by Viacom Inc's Paramount Pictures and produced with privately held DreamWorks, includes $16 million from midnight screenings and gives the movie the biggest single-day box office on a Wednesday, according to Hollywood.com Box office.

The previous Wednesday record was held by "Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix," which had $44.2 million on its Wednesday debut in July 2007, including $12 million from midnight screenings.

The new film is a sequel to 2007's "Transformers" that took in a total of more than $700 million worldwide, and Hollywood has been hoping that the sequel would help the industry rebound from recent weeks of relatively lackluster ticket sales.

"Transformers" is based on the popular toys and cartoons about shape-shifting cars which morph into "autobots" that fight alien "decepticons" who want to control Earth.

I just got back from Transformers 2.

I don't get people saying it's a bad movie. It was a great ride. Michael Bay style. Maybe a few cheesy jokes that should've been left out but nothing that really distracted me from the overall movie.

Action is AMAZING. He topped himself from Transformers 1 in every way.

Story is ok it's a continuing from Transformers 1 and actually makes sense and gets more into the backstory of cube, the decepticons, energy source and optimus prime.. I really enjoyed following and wanted to see what's coming and how they'll figure it out.

There was really no problem distinguishing any robots from one another. He did a good job making them look meaner and darker so you knew exactly who's who in fights except they are now bigger and badder.

I really wonder sometimes what norm people judge these things.

Transformers 2 gets 21% on rotten tomatoes and Terminator 4, that piece of **** movie that left a bad taste in mouth after leaving the theater, got higher score. It's ridiculous.

Transformers 2 is EXACTLY what you expected and wanted if you liked the first part. The movie is pretty long but it was so well executed that I haven't even noticed how fast the time passed and that the movie was over 2 and a half hours.

There are a few things Bay did that I kind of didn't like, for example the more emotional Autobots, the 2 robots (toyotas) with gold tooth and so on are a bit annoying and roll as a gangbangers but people over-reacted WAY TO MUCH about the racist crap. They are a bit cheesy but they are ok. I guess you could understand why he shows robots a bit more emotional because they spent 2 years with humans after the events of first Transformers.

Second thing was that Optimus Prime is a lot stronger than in the first part. He whoops ass in the woods with Megatron and 2 more Decepticons like they are fraking nothing when it was obvious he couldn't beat Megatron in Trans. 1.

Other then that a thrill ride. Classic summer blockbuster with remarkable, possibly finest special effects I've ever seen. It makes you laugh, it has some sad moments and 20 times the action of Transformers 1.

Look at it this way. Because of a few more cheesy jokes and a few changes from original Transformers it would get maybe a few percentages less than Transformer 1. So if Transformers 1 got 85% rating, Transformers 2 is maybe 80%. But it's to be expected. Transformers 1 was something new. It blew us away with stunning effects and introduction to robots. Transformers 2 was never to get the same effect. Rotten Tomates 21% and Metacritic 28% which is lower than Terminator 4. I mean what are these people smoking. Seriously.

For those who haven't seen it but you liked Transformers 1:

Don't trust reviews. People and critics are full of crap and full of hate for Bay. I don't like the man and his cockiness but seriously, man makes best action movies and summer blockbusters. See the movie, you will like it and you'll have fun.

I'm getting this on Blu-ray without a doubt.

I just got back from Transformers 2.

I don't get people saying it's an awesome movie. It was a horrible ride. Michael Bay style. A ****load of cheesy jokes that should've been left out.

Action is average. He topped himself from Transformers 1 in every way, which isnt saying much at all.

Story is ok it's basically non-existent and a replica of Transformers 1 and actually makes sense and gets more into the backstory of cube, the decepticons, energy source and similar stuff which doesn't add anything to the movie.

There was really no way from distinguishing any robots from one another. He did a good job making them look meaner and darker so you knew exactly who's who in fights except the camera is so near the bots and the edits are so rapid that the relative sense of scale is screwed up anyway.

I really wonder sometimes what norm people judge these things.

Transformers 2 gets a huge load of love from people and Terminator 4, that movie which admittedly wasnt very good and rather po-faced but at least po-faced is better than having to put up with toilet humour, gets no love. It's ridiculous.

For those who haven't seen it but you liked Transformers 1:

Don't trust user reviews. Fanboys are full of crap and full of blind love for Bay. I don't like the man and his cockiness but seriously, man makes best action movies and summer blockbusters 10 years ago.

I'm getting this on Blu-ray without a doubt, makes for a nice coaster.

fixed. :p

fixed. :p

How is story replica? It's talking about something else and the danger is greater than in first part. Did you even bother to understand what was going on in the movie?

And please stop changing my words. Pasting my response and then replacing my explanations with your personal rant is not cool. Quote is the point of quoting someone's response I didn't write that stuff and note that it's your opinion without my quotes.

If your attention span is nonexistant that doesn't make it a bad movie. Everything about it was summer blockbuster and it was a fun movie. Certainly not garbage like Terminator 4.

And I personally don't like Bay, but I think he makes fun popcorn movies and this one is no exception.

Edited by Boz

I dunno. . . i was under the impression that 'fixed' would imply an alteration of the quote. Guess I was wrong. :/

But you have to be kidding. Transformers 2 is the last movie you would need an attention span for. It's all explosions, explosions, explosions.

The first movie was about the decepticons wanting the allspark to create more decepticons, and then destroy the autobots and earth. TF2 is about the decepticons wanting to use some kind of harvester to generate energon to give life to more decepticons, and then destroy the autobots and earth. And in between that meager plot, robots chase and bump into one another and battle each other. And in the end some human (Sam) does something very heroic and noble and helps the autobots defeat the decepticons. I believe that's the gist of it (or the whole of it actually). To be honest the plot isnt integral in a movie like this, but the writing in TF2 is excruciatingly bad. Not only does it somehow simultaneously have less of a plot than the first and still be more convoluted, it doesnt flow well at all and the dialogue is trash! I have no idea why every damn human and robot here feel the need to utter a witty-but-corny line every minute.

I'm also confused as to how most Transformers fans can be so cheery with the movie's humour and then come here and suddenly be all damn serious. The internet is indeed serious business.

P/S: The Rock, now that's an awesome Bay movie.

I was never sure why Prime had such trouble tackling Megatron when in all the cartoons they were on par. As for why in the first one he was in trouble, but not dead i do not know, All i do know is that Prime was a prime in the second film and fought like one. I'll be happy to see another movie like this.

I was disappointed that the classic Devestator wasn't in the film, but Demolisher was certainly a reinvisioning...

Definatley Blu-ray material.

The action is Average

WHAT!???

HOW can you feel the action is only Average?

This ALONE is a scene that beats MAJORITY of action in other movies!!!

I agree with these fixed points. But I enjoyed the film, and will definitely be buying it on Blu-Ray.

The one liners annoyed me a little though.

boring and over and over again the same story. They literally ripoff the 1st movie and mixes with other stuff. Nice effects nothing but that. Even the chick doesnt looks hot like she was on the 1st movie. In the other hand that blonde looks a way better than this megan something

    • Finally we can whole-heartedly recommend the AMD 9070 GRE thanks to this discount by Sayan Sen Earlier this month at Computex 2026 AMD released the Radeon RX 9070 GRE for a global audience. We reviewed the GPU and it scored 8 out of 10 for gaming and 7.5 out of 10 for productivity including things like AI performance. The card launched for $550 which we thought was a bit on the higher side, though currently you are getting the chance to get the Gigabyte Gaming variant of the GPU for just $500 thanks to this discount (purchase link under the specs table down below). As such we can finally whole-heartedly recommend this GPU. The card employs Gigabyte's WINDFORCE cooling system which combines multiple design elements such as alternate-spinning Hawk fans, a vapor chamber, and composite heat pipes to manage heat dissipation. The Server-grade Thermal conductive gel further helps in this department. The inclusion of a semi-passive cooling mode allows the fans to remain inactive under low workloads, which allows for reduced noise operation during lighter usage. There is dual BIOS switch that allows toggling between performance and silent modes. The technical specs of the Gigabyte Gaming RX 9070 GRE OC is given in the table below: Specification Value Boost Clock Up to 2920 MHz Game Clock Up to 2340 MHz Stream Processors 3072 Memory Clock 18 Gbps Memory Size 12 GB Memory Type GDDR6 Memory Bus 192-bit Memory Bandwidth 432 GB/s Card Bus Interface PCI Express 5.0 Max Resolution 7680 × 4320 Max Displays (Multi-view) 4 Card Dimensions 288 × 132 × 50 mm (L × W × H) Recommended Power Supply 700 W Power Connectors 2 × 8-pin Display Outputs 2 × DisplayPort 2.1a 2 × HDMI 2.1b Get it at the link below: GIGABYTE Gaming Radeon RX 9070 GRE 12GB GDDR6 GPU (GV-R907GREGAMING OC-12GD): $549.99 + $50 discount with promo code in mail => $499.99 (Sold and Shipped by Newegg US) This Newegg deal is US-specific and not available in other regions unless specified.
