Leddy
I think the real problem with Safari on Windows is that it doesn't look like it belongs on Windows. Medking
^^ agreed. unless your one of those people who customizes vista or xp to look like a mac hehe still gonna give it a whirl, thought it was sneaky of them popping that in the itunes update like that though... i always have loved the way the "favorites" appear in safari <3 Medking Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/626275-safari-31-final/page/7/#findComment-589288107 Share on other sites
darkz
scores 74/100 on acid3 tho it looks worse than the 70/100 on latest FF3 minefield nightly, running sunspider benchmark right nowscores total: 3250.6ms compared to ~2500ms on latest FF3 minefield Font rendering causes my eyes to bleed after 10 seconds of reading something and its in the menus as well, not ready for windows yet imo Doesn't comply to vista's , stack windows or side by side command ... have to resize manually! both side by side and stacked work for me Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/626275-safari-31-final/page/7/#findComment-589288113 Share on other sites
crazzyyfool
Hi, does anyone know if History Flow is a new feature of Safari 3.1 or does it have something to do with SafariStand on Mac? Imran Hussain
I think the real problem with Safari on Windows is that it doesn't look like it belongs on Windows. It really doesnt belong on Windows. I think it's better they stick to their own theme, and you can easily tell who made it and where it's from. Marcel T
@+kraized: It's a feature of SafariStand and not a bad feature to invoke, although "Time Machine for Safari" would be more analogous albeit overkill for a history function, lol. Xerxes
I decided to give Safari (for Windows) another go and not bad. I've used the earlier beta builds and I found it overly problematic and slow, but this final built is the completely opposite. Some of the little nagging problems are now gone and it actually loads webpages quite fast for me now (faster then Firefox and IE7/8b1) Now while I'm still an avid Firefox supporter, I have to say Apple have done a good job (Y) and while it will hardly have Opera/Firefox/IE quivering in their boots right now, I can see now it has potential. Hopefully Apple don't screw it up! :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/626275-safari-31-final/page/7/#findComment-589288694 Share on other sites
Knife Party
i think Safari is a contender for IE, but will take some time to level with FF and Opera.
