24% Internet Users Can Not Find Google

Recommended Posts

Doesn't surprise me considering IE is the only browser not to have Google as a default search.

as an Opera user i find myself Yahooing all the time. The only advantage is that there's my favorite color: red!

yes there's a Google bar in Opera too, but i managed to replace it with my trusty "Answers.com" bar.

and i no longer use Google.com directly. I use Googlesyndicatedsearch.com

OMG. I HATE THAT! When I hear people say that, I just chime right in with, "you mean background, right?"

While we're on that topic, I want to slap people when they refer to the hard drive as memory. Then you have to explain how and why memory is different than a hard disk. This happens all the time. So sad.

Yeah, that too; 'hey, how much memory you got in that puppy?' 'A 150 gigabytes' 'you mean that's your hard drive size, right?' 'Oh yeah, right! It's got 2.4 gigahertz'.

After that, i usually like to tell them how to get rid of the extremely destructive 'explorer.exe' and 'user.dat' viruses...

My dad uses his computer for work (Word, basic Web and so on) and has heard of Google, but unless it was his homepage, he wouldn't know how to get there really so I can imagine the stat. figure is correct.

I CAN find google, BUT the problem is search on google, doesn't always get me a result.

Google is SO OVER Rated, It can NOT find everything, period.

It's better than typing in random urls into the address bar till you find the right site.

there you go:

99% - windows

1% - mac

0% - linux

one smart enough to run linux, shall be able to find his/er way to google.com

:D lol

Doesn't surprise me at all considering there are still huge amount of people

1. dont know how to double click.

2. Know how to double click but double click on everything.

3. Know how to double click but somehow click on each mouse button separately.

Oh well.

My dad does the second one.

Jakob Nielsen is an over-cited, over-referenced and over-indulged source. His theories are worthy of consideration, but the guy annoys the heck outta me.

And he makes sweeping generalisations that do my head in, too!

but there isnt a better search engine out there,

I know that Google maybe the Best SE, but a lot of times I see a lot of people ask questions that ISN'T easy to find on Google, then people tell them to Search google, as if they could be found on Google easy or assume the people asking the question doesn't know how to get to google. No it's NOT!

Some people act as if Google can find everything, and it certainly doesn't!
