Shifting.

Recommended Posts

In my time as a member of the Shift Linux team, I have seen several public releases. The first was 0.5. This was the sort of ?rebirth? of Shift after a previous 0.3.1 release. Later, some time after 0.5, it was decided that Shift would change its base to Ubuntu. 0.6 was released. Sadly, it was, in my and in others? opinions, Ubuntu with a wallpaper and a theme. 0.6.5 was still seen as Ubuntu with a wallpaper.

I've decided to resign as lead developer at Shift Linux.

I can not speak for the rest of the (now dissolved) team, and I cannot give a reason as to why the team was dissolved. My intention was to move on to another project alone, but I did invite some fellow Shift members (as I knew them as friends by now), to join me. I did not ask them to leave Shift.

I wanted for Shift to live after my resignation. I can't comment about the future of Shift or what will become of the many resources everyone has pulled into it.

If you'd like more information, you can PM me.

Thank you, CrimsonRedMk.
