National Hockey League 2007-08 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Recommended Posts

Hmmm...A way to tested my math skills...lol by my horrible math...the habs have a higher %. My math

2007 - Year they were formed / number of cups

(ex 2007 - 1917 / 24)

Habs win it every 3.75 years

Leafs every 6.9 years

Wings every 8.1 years

Noe: My math is bad, I don't use much anymore, so I could be wrong. And I'm not saying who is/isn't hockey town. I was bored. I have already said I want the Red Wings to win. Though had been hoping for a Habs vs Wings cup game...

Now the question is can you do that math with the difference between founding dates. ;)

Aren't the Habs celebrating 100 years next season?

EDIT: Looked up on Wiki. Habs founded December 4, 1909. 1909-1917 in NHA, won first cup in 1915-1916. NHL from 1917 til now. So 24 cups over 99 years equals a cup every 4.125 years. Also, first cup was awarded in 1893 to The Montreal Hockey Club (commonly called the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association). So I guess Montreal has won more than 24 cups total. They also won 4 cups between 1893 and 1903.

Cara: THe best I can do is to not count cups won Before the wings were formed, which is two for the Habs, and two for the leafs. New numbers would be

Habs = 3.7

leafs = 7.4

Wings = 8.1

Best I can do with my math lol

SaucE - 1909 - 1917 they were part of the NHA, then moved to the NHL

Was still the Stanley Cup though.

We'll see what happens tomorrow. I don't think Dallas can win at the Joe, especially in the physical state they are in. Several of their skaters (including Morrow) are barely holding together, I'm sure he has multiple injuries.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and call for a 2-1 Detroit Win tonight, I feel the defense will be a lot tighter tonight given the last game and the focus will be more on keeping them off balance rather than a blow out score.

they are old and their age is finally catching up to them?

I'd love to use that as an excuse but they haven't even had to work hard this playoff season so I doubt it.

They just look lazy and sloppy out there. Time to pick it up guys and make Dallas see stars already, this is dragging out way to long. :p

Four Non Blondes - What's Going On?

25 years of my life and still

I'm trying to get up that great big hill of hope

for a destination

I realized quickly when I knew I should

that the world was made up of this brotherhood of man

for whatever that means

chorus:

'n so I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed

just to get it all out what's in my head

'n I, I'm feeling a little peculiar

'n so I wake in the morning and I step outside

'n I take a deep breath

'n I get real high

'n I scream from the top of my lungs

what's goin' on

and I say hey-ey-ey... (jodel-di-dodel...)

and I said hey what's going on

and I say hey... etc. (uh! uu-uuhu-huhuuuu...)

I said hey what's going on

and I try, oh my God do I try

I try all the time

in this institution

and I pray, oh my God do I pray

I pray ev'ry single day

for a revolution

(chorus)

25 years of my life and still

I'm trying to get up that great big hill of hope

for a destination

    • Dbrand thought they could get away with this Steam Machine case, Valve disagreed by David Uzondu Image via Dbrand Dbrand has cancelled its highly anticipated Companion Cube enclosure for the Valve Steam Machine, which it teased back in November of last year with a concept render and sign-up page, because it did not ask Valve for permission first before manufacturing the case. According to Dbrand, it took the "backwards approach" of building the product first before asking for permission from the copyright holder. Seven months of work went into the project, requiring over a thousand engineering hours from the design team. Workers developed forty-four sets of injection molding tools, making a unique mold for each sub-component of the crate. When the Companion Cube went live on Monday last week, it, according to Dbrand, quickly became the second-fastest-selling product in the company's fifteen-year history, racking up orders for hundreds of thousands of units. Customers eagerly bought the $129.95 deluxe edition or the bare-bones $99.95 version, which the manufacturer cheekily branded as the "Poverty Cube". It was around this time that the legal eagles at Valve descended on the accessory maker with a formal demand. The developer pointed out that the iconic block design remains protected intellectual property from the game Portal, so unlicensed sales had to stop. Dbrand said that all its pleas to salvage the project with the Valve team, including proposals to run a properly licensed release under official terms "with their blessing", fell on deaf ears, so it had no choice but to obey and remove every trace of the product from the internet. If you bought the enclosure, the company said that banks will process your refund by the end of this week, but if it still hasn't arrived in your account by then, you should not hesitate to contact support. The Steam Machine itself is a high-performance console that Valve designed directly to bring PC gaming into the living room. It was announced on 12th November 2025 (the same day Dbrand announced the Cube) and runs on the Linux-based SteamOS, the same OS that powers the Steam Deck. As for the price, due to the shortage of memory and storage chips, the hardware cost landed much higher than people were expecting, starting at $1,049 for the 512 model (without a controller) or $1,128 with the new gamepad. The premium 2 TB model pushes those prices even higher, selling at $1,349 for the standalone console and hitting $1,428 if you want the bundle.
    • It's listed #399.99 on Amazon, per your link. It's not $299.99.
    • Wonder how much of this it related to them using something like Mythos. It seems everybody is releasing large numbers of updates in the last few weeks.
