Leopard for Vista

Recommended Posts

firstly, i agree with the fact that lots of kudos should be given for someone who makes skins for free (or freeware for that matter). secondly, by mentioning stardock/ windowblinds i never menat for anyone to get sensitive about it: my intentions were to provide some "insight" or more suggest seeing what other people of done - as far as leopard skinning is concerned - and see how you can incorporate that with the skin being featured in this topic (i admit i probably went about it the wrong way). i'm in no way trying to be a troll

Never took it that way myself, omganinja got a little sensitive, I see your point though.

as you can see i have <10 forum posts since joining last year (and i should probobly keep it that way) because things always get taken out of context. My bad though.

Nah, it's fine really, it's just some people get a little frustrated when people come in a make comments that make it look like they hardly glanced at the thread, you know what I mean?

all things aside, i like what i've seen so far and it will probably complete the leopard theme im going for on my desktop. object dock's leopard them will go well with it!

Good luck with that. :)

Are you still having trouble with the buttons? Would you be able to design square buttons so that the background (grey) is the background of the buttons and that way you can still keep them spherical?

Sorry if it's confusing, I just wanted to know if that would help.

Dont really understand what you mean. I could make the aero buttons the same as the basic ones, but I couldnt position them correctly because of the limitations of the stream file.

Make the BG for the buttons the same as the background of the bar. And then position them. The images themselves would be squares/rectangles but since the bg blends in they merely look like circles.

Do people actually read the previous posts or just the first and last one?

Just the first page, and then the last. Don't expect more. You asked for feedback, so I took a look, and gave feedback. I don't really care for reading the whole thread.

That being said, I'm glad to hear you're considering shadows. The skin is very impressive!

I'm back at college now so I haven't worked on it for a while, I'll test it out on 32bit tonight and maybe post a beta up on deviantart if I dont have to work too much on it to get it up to scratch.

Wow .. that's actually ... really nice.. Only.. could you make it an Vista flag (mono-colour or coloured) on the Start menu...

Close buttons are ok .. could be a bit more manly ;)

Also .. this is Areo or Vista Basic? Please make it both ^^

hey omganinja do you think you could make square buttons (title bar) for the basic version too?

The square buttons for Aero look nice.
