Asus FTP site?

Question

Hi guys, I just got a new Asus laptop today and have installed XP on it. I am trying to download all the drivers from their site.

All ok except for the graphics driver which is 183mb or so big and im getting git ah 5kbps :( gonna take hours and already timed out once seems like im never going to get it.

My question is, does asus have an ftp server so at least I can continue the download if it breaks and MAINLY I might be able to get it faster, or is there any other site that host them?

It's the x50r model.

Many thanks.

Not sure I would call it "full download speeds" ;) But seems to be holding steady at about 30K/s

(try: 2) => `VGA_XP_070202.zip'

Connecting to dlsvr02.asus.com|213.61.92.194|:80... connected.

HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK

I couldn't find exact video chip specs for your model, but it seems to use an ATI graphics chip, if so, you may be able to download the drivers directly from ATI... Try this first: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst...=xp/mobility-xp

You either have a ATI Mobility Radeon, or Radeon Xpress video chip.

Download the Everest trial and check under Display, Windows Video, PCI/AGP Video, GPU.

ftp.asus.com

pub

asus

nb

f5r

There's no X50R on that FTP but many models must use the same drivers, as Radish posted.
