One side of sports headphones longer then other?

I've just bought a pair of these headphones:

And I don't get why the right headphone is longer then the left, double it's length.

I'm talking about the cable from the bit you stick in your ear to the little block where the left and right cable merge into one.

It makes sense to me, anyone cable to explain?

Thanks

Put the cable beween the headphones round the back of your neck, then take the headphones out of your ears by an inch and drop, then you'll find out what it's for :)

BTW, I've noticed this come up quite a lot recently, it's always been instinctive to me, is it really a little known fact?

It works so much better with the long one running round your neck. I can't tell you how many times it's been a real lifesaver for me, this design feature.

I'm the exact opposite - I hate those headphones. The bit that goes around the back of your neck is almost always either too short or too long to be comfortable.

I just find they stay on better when running. They are a bit awkward, that's true.

Oh I hate those too, I can't stand them round my neck I feel like I'm being throttled :pinch:

I remember getting a pair like that years ago, must of been when they first came out with the idea, i took them back the shop and said they were faulty, the woman behind the counter had a look and agreed, so i got a refund :p

now i understand though :shifty: but i still use the 'old style'.

    • Ridiculous claim that the labor cost difference of $6000 annually would increase cost per phone by $200. The employees produce 3 phones per month or what?

    • And I just bought a seat cushion for my mesh chair. The chair feels nice but the first time I sat in it with boxers, I realized I don't like the feel of mesh on my legs. 😂
