Neowin is a good example of why I love to use forums.

Ah, other forums. What's the point of having a community where the minority of people can't express their opinion? There is no progress, only stagnant fanboy-ism and piety. Nothing more than cheering the heroes and booing the villains.

Neowin doesn't have fanboys. There are no white knights that step in to defend the administration if they are criticized.

Administrators here love critique, they love to listen and improve. That is why neowin is so great. And I find it unique that a forum is like that.

Also the moderators on staff have historically been very fair and understanding. They are staunch and liberal and I'm surprised to see that their is almost no censorship here.

Very often is their any deleting here. Nor moving. It's simply a warning just in case it were to happen.

This forum is a haven of intellectual progress by far. Surpassing any educational institution I have seen.

Neobond we should be paying YOU tuition.

Even the 1 post wonders make it entertaining

We all make it what it is.

It's certainly one the best out there...compared to, say, the Gamespot forums. Oh god...I cringe every time I look at their message boards; ****ing retards or children who can't make complete sentences bitching about the tiniest details of IRRELEVANT issues.

...yeah, neowin's good...

Amen to that. Neowin is freaking great. It's much better than say, on NZ's GPStore comment section. I lol every time I see that. Especially the Tags for 360 and PS3 products, and Halo 3 etc..."ps3 killer", "xbox sucks", "die microsoft", "sony fails", stuff like that. Epic win. Newin's good for stuff like that. Rock on Neowin!

I have been searching for my main PC related forum for a few weeks now after getting into PC gaming/upgrading etc. And have to say, this forum has the most eye pleasing graphics, the largest array of subjects/boards, and isnt dominated with hot-headed teens who chat rubbish.

All in all, a great forum!

There are limits to "opinion expressing" just so you know :D

They just haven't reared their ugly head yet. But there are fanboys. I have to say Neowin is one of the better moderated forums though.

Otherwise, welcome to the forums. :)

aww thanks  but you guys really make the community, all we do is provide the means and try to keep the peace. Listening to your community is what every forum should be about because we gave this to you to build upon.

can we have our cookies now? :p

Just to re-iterate what I put in my blog, Neowin is like an old pair of pants, you get new ones come along but you always go back to the best, most comfortable pair.

I don't agree with the no fanboys comment either, but I've grown kind of used to that and don't take it as seriously as I once did, hehe. I think I've moved on to mostly similing at those kind of posts instead. :) Especially when it's old and tired arguments being used.

Yes, Neowin is an example of a quite encompassing community that covers so many subjects, way beyond Windows that one may think at first sight and hearing the name. What I like seeing most are those funny threads that sometimes pop up, heh. Oh, and being early on informing myself on computing news. While the journalism may be more or less "amateurish" at times (not automatically a bad thing though), the news often come quickly and accurately.

    • Microsoft brings Planner Agent to all Microsoft 365 Copilot users by Ivan Jenic Image: Microsoft Microsoft has announced that Planner Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot is now generally available to all users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Planner Agent is the latest addition in the string of AI features that Microsoft is implementing across virtually all of its products. The agent lets you manage tasks through natural language prompts directly inside Microsoft 365 Copilot. You can create and update tasks, check priorities, and get insights about current entries without leaving the chat interface. The general availability release comes with a handful of new additions on top of what was available during the initial rollout. A new plan picker lets you search and filter your plans by name, then update task names, statuses, due dates, or priorities through the agent. There's also a goals bucket now, which lets you group tasks under specific goals. This builds on the Goals view, a feature that was introduced as part of the broader Planner refresh that rolled out earlier. Image: Microsoft | Planner Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot All AI-generated plans and tasks are created in draft mode by default, so you can review and approve changes before anything goes through. This is actually a thoughtful safety feature, because trusting AI to handle all your tasks without a human in the loop is usually a recipe for disaster. Having tasks initially saved as drafts is the best possible middle ground. Microsoft also says that not all tasks are executed equally. Simple tasks get processed quickly, while more complex ones, like building a plan from a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file, are handed to a more capable model. Microsoft says this approach delivers the best performance, but it could also help with usage management, as you won't have to waste tokens on performing simple tasks. Planner Agent is available now across Teams, Loop, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 apps for anyone on a Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription.
    • To be clear I'm anti trump, the bigger point is why review this game at all?
    • Trillion dollar Microsoft has to reduce spending by hurting more people. Good job Microsoft. Good Job Asha.
    • That's a shame. The big Xbox reset when Phil and Sarah left and then Asha came on and brought a new team of executives, and all the layoffs last year and saying that the ABK merger wouldn't result in redundancies I am surprised they are calling for yet another reset and yet more layoffs.
    • Arkane, Ninja Theory, and Double Fine might be on the chopping block too.
