have you seen the pita videos about how kfc grows their chicken? it is digusting and i have never gone back to that place again. i know i know pita....i admit i am not usually that type of animal liberation kinda person but it is disturbing. i like mcdonalds breakfast but that is about it. subway is good and healthy so i chose subway :)

I try to avoid "fast food" altogether, and usually get something to drink. I tend to drink more than eat.

You do know that most chicken is grown in dirty cages. I grew chickens, and cleaning cages was something we normally didn't do too very often. Didn't affect the growth of the chicken. Don't think any place is any better. :D

Subway definitely, although I do still have a soft spot for a good old big mac.

I have 1 reason for this: the steak and cheese sub. Proper meaty sub that tastes awesome but also does the job a kebab would usually do on the way home after a night out when you just want to fill your face with some fast meaty goodness. I can go to subway any time and will dive right into a footlong steak and cheese with lettuce, onions, olive, gherkin, pepper and no sauce on white bread.

The price is EXTORTIONATE though. ?5 for a footlong steak and cheese is too much, and it's never on the sub of the day menu. When they used to have the loyalty stamp scheme it wasn't so bad as it offset the cost somewhat, but now you have to pay the full cost for it everytime.

If you saw how other foods were prepared and such you might starve to death.

Subway, obviously. :p

Veggie Delite in untoasted wheat bread with all of the condiments, plus chilli sauce and pepper. Yum!

I am not a vegetarian but Dave has got a point. You can go the healthy route at Subway. Maybe you add turkey to it or whatever, but you've got a good meal. McDonald's is just dogfood served on a plate.

i used to live at mcdonalds. double quarter pounder 5 or 6 times a week. i never put on weight but im fairly active. then i met a girl who only ate healthy. so started eating subway more regularly and mcdonalds never.

i went to mcdonalds yesterday to have my beloved double quarter pounder, first in probably two years. and it was discusting.

i loved that burger so much and my gf has destroyed it for me. i have nothing left to live for.

but yeah so subway for me

I eat at McDonalds maybe once or twice a year. I feel "dirty" eating anything from there, but I get the occasional jones for a double qpc, and I don't think it's a sin to eat something like that so infrequently. Of course, I frikken *love* McDonalds fries! If I had to eat there more often, I would live off of fries.

Subway is my main choice, as it is generally cheaper (if you know when and what their deals are), more filling, and depending on what you get, a much healthier choice if you are looking for fast food. You just have to limit yourself to only a sub, and none of their "meal deals" with a teeny bag of chips and drink. But that said, I would rather eat at a Quiznos, or none of these places at all.

    • I think every American should have a course in a 'dry sense of humour' at school; and perhaps 'using sarcasm in jest' oh, and also 'the use or irony in humour'. Slapstick is just about all Americans can understand. It's a pity, as this is the most basic of humour, that requires no thought at all. It's hilarious to watch a whole room collapse with laughter while yanks sit scratching their heads...
    • What they really need to do is automatically spell "loses" and "lose" correctly since nobody seems to know how to anymore. Then they blame spellcheck/autocomplete and don't realize autocomplete is just filling in the word for them automatically so it was misspelled in the first place.
    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
