thealexweb
Mcdonalds hands down. I know someone who used to work at a subway, they work them like slave labour. vincent
Only had a few Subways but how healthy is a subway? If you stuck to 6" sub, then it's okay. But if you're downing ft longs everyday then you're getting alot of carbs, at least more than the daily recommended amount. +Frank B. Subscriber² Posted July 25, 2008 Subscriber² Share Posted July 25, 2008 Subway. McDonalds is just disgusting. As an aside: If any Taco Bell executives are reading this - can we have Taco Bell in Europe please? way2quik
Subway, but the sandwich isn't exactly "healthy" nor "fresh". Wish they do something about their commercials. bloodrain
Subway, but the sandwich isn't exactly "healthy" nor "fresh".Wish they do something about their commercials. how is it not? Compared to McDonalds, its extremly healthy. Go Go BigMac and fries with 1300 calories and a side of heartattack cola. psionicinversion
theres a dispatches thing on, on monday about how healthy a ready made/in the shop sandwich, and one of the points that is seen quickly in the advert is him pointing to a baguette might be a sub way or mcdonalds deli thing but the guy said there was more salt in the baguette than in 9 packets of crisps. which is a friggin lot. subway aint that healthy as ppl think sure its made in front of ya sure it has the green stuff (lettuce etc) but if you look at how much fat and that thats in some of them its a hell of a lot for a "healthy" sandwich. I reckon youll know when you eat a proper healthy sandwich cus it wont taste all to great hahaha. Echilon
Of the two I'd go for Subway, but having worked in Subway I'd have to be starving on a desert island to ever eat it again. :x Working in the food industry is said to change you, and it certainly changed me. :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/635249-mcdonalds-vs-subway/page/5/#findComment-589583501 Share on other sites

tiagosilva29
Burger Ranch (Portuguese) > Mc Donald's Burger Ranch's food is way better than the ones used by McDonald's. All the products are local and real, you eat more and better than in McDonald's for much less. Clinteger
I'd pick any sub place *but* Subway, really. Quiznos isn't *that* bad, since the prices are close to Subway's prices, but you get way more. At my local subway, you get a tiny bit of meat, some cheese, and it doesn't seem very nice. It tastes okay [could be better, could be worse] but the best option is a local sub place. When I eat a sub, I don't expect it to be healthy because it's not. You guys saying how unhealthy McDonalds is really should think more about what things you get on a sub, too. Barney T. Administrators Posted August 16, 2008 Administrators Share Posted August 16, 2008 Seriously........ I guess that if you are young, you might care less about nutritional information.... but if you do care about obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and coronary artery disease, here are the stats: McDonald's: http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal/...tion_facts.html Subway: http://www.fastfoodnutrition.org/r-nutriti...ubway-item.html And of course, for all other fast food restaurants: http://www.fastfoodnutrition.org/ Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/635249-mcdonalds-vs-subway/page/5/#findComment-589658748 Share on other sites

BilliShere
i can't eat meat from fast food restaurants cuz of restrictions very similar to kosher food. I dont give a crap about how healthy the food is as long as it tastes freakin awesome enough to release endorphins or whatever to make me feel good and satisfy me hunger. A real man's heart runs on pure grease, cholesterol, and of course, testosterone. However, I did try the vegetarian options and i can eat tuna/fish. that is exactly where subway wins over McDonalds. It tastes freakin awesome compared to the really crappy mcfishburger whatever. Edit: and #%&! salads.. thats not food!
