I just realized that Neowin will be 8 years old on October 1st 2008, wouldn't it be great if we can also hit 8 million posts by then!

Today, the stats are as follows ...

If we make it, I will randomly select an active poster (the coders can help me with that) and send them a retail copy of Windows Vista Ultimate (x86 or x64)

How about then then guys en girls!

Hold on, it says in that Digg post that it'll be given to the person with the 8millionth post, but neobond just said a random active poster?!?!!?!
Oh yeah I thought it was the 8 millionth poster...oh well
I have heard both stories, but I am just going with it will be the randomly selected poster
Only Sir. Neobond can clarify this situation.

Definitely a random poster, definitely not the person who makes the 8 millionth post!

Its weird how since May, posts per month have actually dropped!

Definitely a random poster, definitely not the person who makes the 8 millionth post! Well from what Neobond said in the original topic post anyhow.

Like I really post a lot, but I do try to contribute when I can.

Sadly, I can only do so from work right now as I have moved, and Charter won't hook me up until towards middle/end of the month. So, I am without internet for a while yet.

Discovering this thing called life and the outdoors! :HELP!:

    • I know I won't ever be using it to make my game. I'd rather pay real humans.
    • Nah. For every indie dev that needs to create code for "stuff" or textures, it's a godsend enabler to possibly tackle a project that you may not otherwise. The end result and testing will tell the truth if everything works or doesn't, or a game is just mediocre slop, but now these tools are now there and it's the developer's duty to judge the outcome, and even more so for pro studios. And you gotta remember that they will be at an early stage.
    • whoosh my comment went over your head. Enjoy your notchless 3:2 OLED device
    • As a game dev, today was really depressing. They announced that Blueprints will be deprecated in UE6 to be fully replaced by their sh**ty Python-like Verse language... They also announced that 5.8 will be the last version of UE5 until UE6 comes out in MID 2029!!!! They have completely lost the plot.
