What do you mean by "active"? When the 8 millionth post is made, does the person have to be in the "active poster list" (the one on the board index) or can they just have posted within the last 24 hours?

We don't know. :shiftyninja:

I am guessing it is someone who is a regular active poster on here.

Well I'm not the one making the rules, but I can only assume it excludes people that haven't signed in for a while, one-post-wonders, etc. Basically, we don't want to give it to somebody who doesn't contribute or who won't actually realize they've won anything because they're hardly ever on or never participate.

Post count won't make a difference, nor will posts per day. After all, the community is more about quality than quantity.

But your spam is mighty ;)

Oh well, at least they wont ban Audio for that underage pic until October 1st. They couldn't risk a spammer strike.

Edit: just read gigapixels post about "Quality not quantity". Looks like your out Rappy :p I like your new avatar btw :)

Yeah thats why I am nothing more then a subscriber which in turn I love being :)

Most forum software (IPB being no exception) include tools for cleaning out old users, users who haven't logged in for a while and such. Everyone else is considered "active" and that's almost certain to be the group that wins the copy of vista.

So if you're reading this thread and you havne't logged in for oh...say 6months, log in NOW.

Hey now, Rappy's a cool guy :) and I think he's made quite a good contribution to the site.

He just tends to post more in the non-tech areas, which is fine by me ;)

    • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
