why do UK ppl call it maths. Remove the s. Its Math or Mathematics.

Because it's short for Mathematics. Mathematics are mathematical procedures, operations, or properties. Saying "Math" is the same as saying "Mathematic", which isn't even a real word in ANY dictionary, but if it was it would imply only a SINGLE operation or procedure, which does not make sense.
