Nothing like that simple. The number at the bottom of the forum contains the deleted posts, but not the queued ones. But even that doesnt explain why I seem to be seeing around 8 thousand posts I can't account for that are telling me we're already over the 8 million mark.

Wikipedia has this screenshot, taken on July 1st 2007. The post count back then was 6,931,754, so the 7 mil. mark was hit either at the end of that month or the beginning of August...

When members were naughty, we sometimes used to set it so that we had to approve each of their posts, there are around 2.5k of these that never got approved.
