it's the Summer Glau curse :p I kid of course :D

a movie would be cool though (Y)

Nah, its not a curse. Last year this was about to be canceled also, but they chose this over T:SCC because it was cheaper. :/

Stupid FOX should have kept T:SCC.

Dollhouse: Where the Cast Should Go Next?

With Dollhouse's doors closing, and Joss presumably heading back to the drawing board, what will happen to all those actors who will be out of a job? After all, some of them already get too-little work on non-Whedon projects as it is. To get them started, before they hit the unemployment line, we've found some doors they should start knocking on.

Eliza Dushku

We loved her as Faith, but the girl really can't carry an entire series with her "acting" abilities. It took us a while to find her a new home, but after seeing the wooden performances on the second episode of V, we knew she'd fit in perfectly there. Give the girl a nice tight jumpsuit and some stilted dialogue and she'll be the perfect lizard person.

Tahmoh Penikett

Maybe it's just our love of watching nerdy worlds collide, but we'd be thrilled if this former BSG star found his way on to Chuck, preferably as a rival for Casey. We'd love to see Adam Baldwin and Tahmoh duke it out, or be best friends... either way.

Dichen Lachman

She was on the long-running Australian drama Neighbours playing a nurse so she's used to soapy fare, which makes her a perfect fit for Grey's Anatomy. New blood has helped the show this season, so a little bit more couldn't hurt, right?

Miracle Laurie

Maybe it's just because she sort of reminds us a bit of Ginnifer Goodwin, but wouldn't Miracle just be perfect as a new wife on Big Love?

Olivia Williams

This import should return to her native UK because we'd love to see her on Torchwood. Her bossy performance on this show has convinced us that she'd be the perfect person to come in and help pick up the pieces of what (very little) remains of the Cardiff branch.

Harry Lennix

He's already done 24, but we'd hope to see this actor stick with the action genre, and maybe even stay in the Fox family with a role on Fringe. There's got to be another secretive branch of the FBI that he can work for.

Enver Gjokaj

If we say nothing else about Dollhouse in the future, we're at least glad that it brought Enver to our attention. He's fabulous and pretty dreamy. Don't those Salvatore brothers on The Vampire Diaries have a cousin or something he could play? We'd be so down with that.

Amy Acker

Well, if her new show Happy Town doesn't take off, we'd like to see her on The Big Bang Theory as a nice bookish girl nerd -- just like our beloved Fred before she turned all scary Illyria on us.

Fran Kranz

We're not especially fond of his annoying Topher character, but perhaps he could go on one of those crime-scene investigating shows, where he can work in the lab and use the science-speak he learned from Dollhouse. Since CSI: Antarctica isn't available, perhaps CSI:NY, since we rarely tune into that one and could then happily forget that he exists.

ROFL you know what Rappy? I can really see each of them prodictions coming true you know :p

Amy Acker as Sheldon's gf would be kinda awesome to watch too :)

Sheldon's gf? I would really love to meet a woman who finds Sheldon romantic.

That was a bit tough. I don't think that Eliza's acting was too bad.

Acker is a significantly better actress than Dushku. While both are hot one is dare I say talented. Eliza plays her role fine but comparing her scenes to Amy's and its obvious who is the real star. When I heard she was going to be taking a back seat this season my interest fell as well. However I still say Dollhouse is better than most other shows. Am I the only one who hates Glee? What's with people and musicals ffs..

    • Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Reality Elite chip brings on-device AI to Android XR devices by Pradeep Viswanathan Qualcomm has been delivering dedicated SoCs for mixed reality and spatial computing devices for several years. The journey started with the Snapdragon XR1, followed by the Snapdragon XR2 in 2019, the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 in September 2023, and finally the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 in 2024. Today, Qualcomm announced a major upgrade with the new Snapdragon Reality Elite Platform, which targets premium mixed reality and spatial computing devices. OEMs can use this SoC to power both all-in-one video-see-through headsets and lightweight, tethered optical-see-through glasses. Qualcomm highlighted that the Snapdragon Reality Elite will power the next wave of Android XR devices coming later this year. These wearables will offer better visuals, improved power efficiency, and deeper on-device AI integration compared to the previous generation. The Snapdragon Reality Elite can deliver up to 48 TOPS of AI performance, allowing large language models and large vision models to run directly on the device for the first time. In addition to enabling new spatial AI experiences, these new AI capabilities will improve head and hand tracking, as well as see-through features. On the performance side, the Snapdragon Reality Elite offers up to 60% higher GPU performance, up to 30% higher CPU performance, and up to 160% higher NPU performance compared to the previous generation. The platform supports visuals of up to 4.4K per eye at 90 frames per second for sharper images and smoother motion. Qualcomm is also claiming significant efficiency improvements. The Snapdragon Reality Elite can offer up to 20% longer battery life under the same workload. More importantly, the chipset can run up to 12 degrees Celsius cooler under load, making headsets more comfortable for users to wear for longer periods. The platform also includes improvements to video see-through, featuring lower latency and better image quality. Qualcomm states that its EVA hardware block helps accelerate demanding computer vision workloads, improving how digital content blends with the real world.
    • Umm... GitHub continues to use AWS. That's the story, that's the headline. There's no "new" news here. GitHub continues to require additional capacity beyond the originally-planned Azure allocations. There's nothing special about this; nothing noteworthy. They're still using AWS' infra until the cutover is complete.

    • Hello, I have used a few TEAM Group SSDs, USB flash drives, and Micro SDXC cards in the past. They all seemed to work fine. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • "just $100 per TB"? Just? Are we trying to make this seem like the new normal? Kinda weird to make it sound like that is not a ridiculously expensive asking price.
