I think it's been fairly well reported that Alan Tudyk is coming back as Alpha, but now we've got a photo of him and a description of episodes 2.7 and 2.8, in which he appears: DOLLHOUSE season 2 episode 7 and 8 "Meet Jane Doe/A Love Supreme" - Echo struggles to control her multiple memory downloads; Topher discovers the dangers of science that will have devastating effects on the future; the Dollhouse fears Alpha has returned to seek his revenge; the Actives turn against their handlers. And here's that picture.

Michael Ausiello reports English actor Adam Godley, probably best known to American audiences for his role as Father Ybarra in The X-Files: I Want to Believe is joining the cast as Clyde, "a genius who holds secrets to the Dollhouse." The role is recurring as any role can be when there are less than ten episodes left in the series. [EW.com]

Those are embarassingly bad. Look at the shows that beat it. Muppets Christmas, by 2 million viewers, and Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer by 300,000 viewers -- which was on the CW. I'm surprised Fox is letting the show even have the timeslot. Dead air would probably draw more viewers.

I think this is the proper Dollhouse that Joss Whedon always planned.

Just watched Episode 7 and my god is it dark and excellent; now that the show has a definite end, its like he can show exactly what he wanted to instead of the bull**** we've had previously. Heck, the first 4 episodes of season 2 were terrible I thought. At its heart, Dollhouse is meant to be a messed up and twisted show dealing with the darkness of the human psyche when it comes to how we treat others.

Roll on Episode 8!

Oh yeah, i'm also digging this showing 2 episodes a week thing, makes it much better and easier to keep up!

Are the rest of the episodes written after the show was canceled? If so it seems like they are setting up the Epitaph One future with the introduction of Tophers new programming tech.

When Epitaph One was shot there were no guarantees of a second season, so I think the plan was to try to show what would happen if it all went Pete Tong. But once they got the go-ahead for the second season, they can now detail the steps that lead to this outcome. So in a way Epitaph One is maybe a little redundant, but at the time nobody was to know. I just wonder how close to it we'll get by the end of the season.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • Microsoft brings Planner Agent to all Microsoft 365 Copilot users by Ivan Jenic Image: Microsoft Microsoft has announced that Planner Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot is now generally available to all users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Planner Agent is the latest addition in the string of AI features that Microsoft is implementing across virtually all of its products. The agent lets you manage tasks through natural language prompts directly inside Microsoft 365 Copilot. You can create and update tasks, check priorities, and get insights about current entries without leaving the chat interface. The general availability release comes with a handful of new additions on top of what was available during the initial rollout. A new plan picker lets you search and filter your plans by name, then update task names, statuses, due dates, or priorities through the agent. There's also a goals bucket now, which lets you group tasks under specific goals. This builds on the Goals view, a feature that was introduced as part of the broader Planner refresh that rolled out earlier. Image: Microsoft | Planner Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot All AI-generated plans and tasks are created in draft mode by default, so you can review and approve changes before anything goes through. This is actually a thoughtful safety feature, because trusting AI to handle all your tasks without a human in the loop is usually a recipe for disaster. Having tasks initially saved as drafts is the best possible middle ground. Microsoft also says that not all tasks are executed equally. Simple tasks get processed quickly, while more complex ones, like building a plan from a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file, are handed to a more capable model. Microsoft says this approach delivers the best performance, but it could also help with usage management, as you won't have to waste tokens on performing simple tasks. Planner Agent is available now across Teams, Loop, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 apps for anyone on a Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription.
