I see Brock winning this one easily. Simply by pure power! Florian vs Huerta is a very exciting prospect and is so damn hard to call! I hope Florian wins, but I can see Huerta just edging it on points.

On the subject of main event, I'm surprised I thought they'd give that to Brock. Hey, maybe we can have Chuck vs Shogun finally? :p

Yeah its certainly Brocks on power alone but we all know what happened in the first fight where power was the key and Mir still survived.

Coleman will get beat.. obviously. This card is set up to do entirely that... they put brock up against someone who "had" credibility.. yet is past his prime and could easily be beaten to boost Brock up the rankings.. because if you remember from the Mir fight, even though brock lost, he made like $350k for a very short fight. They brought him in the UFC to be a superstar and unless he has some wins under his belt and moves up to face some big competitors and gets a fanbase in the future they've wasted their money. And if you know anything about the UFC, they don't like to waste money.

They are setting brock up to pretty much kill Coleman and get some credibility.

Coleman is out!

UFC 87 gets Title Fight; Coleman Injured

By Thomas Gerbasi

The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s initial trip to Minnesota on August 9th just got bigger with today’s signing of the UFC Welterweight Title bout between Champion Georges St-Pierre and number one contender Jon Fitch, which will headline the UFC 87 card at Target Center.

It will be St-Pierre’s first bout since he regained his crown from Matt Serra at UFC 83 on April 19th. In Fitch, he will be facing a former Division I wrestler who has won eight consecutive UFC bouts without a loss, the longest streak in modern-day UFC history.

“He’s a very, very tough guy,” said St-Pierre of Fitch. “I’m gonna have to train hard and be very well prepared because he may be my toughest fight yet.”

“The whole goal is to get the belt and be in the position where guys can’t duck me, run away, or say they don’t want to fight me,” said Fitch. “If I have the belt, there’s no excuse, and if you say you’re the best, then we’re gonna fight. This is gonna be a tough fight, but I’m gonna make sure I’m sharp that night, and wherever the fight needs to go, that’s fine with me.”

In other action on the UFC 87 card, heavyweight sensation Brock Lesnar returns home for a pivotal bout in his rise up the UFC ranks. Lesnar was originally scheduled to face UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman on August 9th, but a knee injury has forced ‘The Hammer’ to withdraw from the show. Lesnar’s opponent will be announced shortly.

Lightweight contenders Kenny Florian and Roger Huerta will also throw down in a highly anticipated bout that may determine a future challenger for the 155-pound crown.

Who will they throw at Lesnar now? The fans choice seems to be Gonzaga! :D

gonzaga would never happen... brock would get his ass handed to him.

That's what I was thinking too. I agree that the UFC probably wanna get some wins under his belt. The most likely choices being discussed on other MMA Forums seems to be Eddie Sanchez, Heath Herring or Cheik Kongo.

If Tim Sylvia was still in the UFC, I'd love to see Brock own him, but hey, Fedor is a good enough substitute! :p

The UFC doesn't like to waste money? Does *anyone*??

Congo would be a good selection.

Since people are missing Chucky and Shogun here's what I propose to keep in theme with Lesnar. A match that lasts about 60 minutes, every minute someone enters the octagon. You can only leave the octagon if you tap out, get knocked out or you're thrown out.

So we can have: Lesnar + Herring and 1/2 the UFC roster all in the same match for at least 60 minutes. Could throw in Macho Man and Ultimate Warrior for all I care.

    • For the purpose that it was built for, it’s a great machine. It’s okay to own multiple machines, it’s okay for machines to be different. If every computer was the same, they’d be boring af.
    • OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT memory by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT's memory, making the system more capable, current, and scalable across long-term use. Memory allows ChatGPT to remember useful details about users, including their preferences, projects, and constraints. Instead of starting every conversation from scratch, ChatGPT can use this context to provide more relevant responses in future chats. OpenAI first launched saved memories in February 2024. That feature allowed users to explicitly ask ChatGPT to save information into its memory, such as travel plans or writing preferences. However, this system had limits because it depended heavily on users giving clear instructions to remember something. Additionally, saved memories could become stale over time. In April 2025, OpenAI expanded memory by allowing ChatGPT to reference past chat context outside the saved memories list. This was powered by a background process called “dreaming,” which automatically curates memories from chat history. This made ChatGPT better at learning from natural conversation without requiring users to manually save every detail. Today, OpenAI announced a more capable and compute-efficient memory architecture built on top of dreaming. This new system improves ChatGPT’s ability to carry forward useful context, follow user preferences, and remain accurate as time passes. According to OpenAI’s internal evaluations, the new system improves factual recall from 67.9% in 2025 to 82.8% in 2026. Preference adherence improves from 55.3% to 71.3%, while accuracy over time improves from 52.2% to 75.1%. The best part of this new system is a new memory summary page where users can review ChatGPT's memories. Users can even update details, correct information, or give instructions on what topics ChatGPT should bring up and when. This new, improved memory system is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in the US starting today. It will roll out to more countries, as well as Free and Go users, in the coming weeks.
    • I work for a video production company in Australia. The camera operators shoot footage and then pass the SD card over to the editors. Much easier than handing over the entire camera. Plus, on a busy day you can hand off the SD card and then pop another in for the next shoot. Or, you might have used multiple SD cards because you need the extra space for a long shoot. I also use USB cables and wifi for transferring footage, but in many cases an SD card reader is the easiest method.
