Antaris Veteran Posted May 29, 2008 Veteran Share Posted May 29, 2008 (edited) Hi All, At the request of one of our members, I've put together a quick script that will enable you to produce thumbnail images on the fly, intended for use on these forums. A lot of people who insert images into posts don't always appreciate the extra time it puts on the end user to download these large images. Rappy knows what I mean :p So, I present the aptly named 'Image Thumbnailer', which given the URL of your source image, and a few additional options, will produce a thumbnail image, and the appropriate BBCode for you to insert it into your post. E.g., the lovely Reina Tanaka Would produce the following: Currently, the service restricts usage to requests that have been referred from Neowin (operating a whitelist). In the future I might consider opening it up for other sites too. Let me know what you think. View: Image Thumbnailer Update: Now enforces that aspect ratio is maintained. Fix: Alpha channel transparencies are persisted into thumbnail.
