Ok one more injury for Turkey. we were suppose to be with 2 goalkeepers and 12 players (14 people) in the squad against germany but Ayhan Akman wont be able to play as well. So down to 2 goalkeepers and 11 players... so we only have 2 substitutions to make against germany.

darn it.

the price we have to pay for last minute goals :(

not to mention our second substitution will be our goalkeeper.

you guys still think Turkey can win?

:(

unfortunately i agree :(

I dont! There is always hope.. one red card for Ballack in 3rd min and injury to Scheinstigger and Turkey will be through... just like the "great" world champs beat France.. Patheitc losers! Im glad they are out.. although i wouldve love to see my Russia make mince meat out of them :p

But of course! They are more creative than Portugal! So they can "create" more goals than Germany!

This thread is funny as hell. It's more fun to read it than to post in it!

creating and finishing are two different things... even Russia is more creative than Portugal.. e.g. the Sweden game.. they created so many chances that they should've won atleast 5-0, 6-0 but they didnt finish them... So no one said Turkey will score more goals.. they just said they will create oppotunities to score.

Anyways.. I dont think Turkey is more creative than Portugal... but NO ONE except maybe the Russians play with that spirit and national pride as the Turks and you have to give them credit for that... on that alone they deserve to be where they are and seeing a lot of teams who just go out there and waste everyones time and bore everyone to sleep.. Turkey are a smth good to see as a spectator of the beautiful game...

They should just keep believing coz thats how they got this far.. they should know that Germany lost to Croatia and they beat Croatia so their is a chance for them to beat Germany... it will be hard.. but impossible is nothing! its just IM possible ;)

thanks for the insult, really...

Btw what do guys think is France's problem?? They didnt win anything! and coming to Euro they were favorites for many ppl including Martin O'Neill.. what I think is wrong with them is the coach.. they are an attacking team with players like Henry,Benzema,Nasri,Ribery,Ben Arfa who can play Dutch type football but the coach doesnt let them! His game plan s based on defence and its hard to argue thats working when u give away 2-3 goals a game :p French should fire him and bring in someone like van Basten or Wenger (although we wont let him go) so French can really play the way they love..

Same was the problem with Azurri.. the coach Donadonni. IMHO Lippi should be back coz it seems sometimes Donadonni doesnt have a clue as to what he is doing!

I think thats called freedom of speech ;)

i know, but still. if all we did was instult different teams in this thread then whats the point.

anyway, italy and france both had a bad tournament. france worse i'd say. they really seemed not to click as a team. not sure why domenech left players like frey, flamini, or trezeguay at home.

even donadoni seemed weird. brutal lineup in the first game. materazzi & barzagli in center defense, esp when materazzi had a pretty bad season. this is where it really hurt that cannavaro was injured and nesta retires while he's still able to play. why he didnt at least start chiellini from game 1 when hes been playing good at juve i dont know

even with the defense fixed, they really lacked a decent offense. i know toni gets ripped apart but cant blame him alone. he did score (and have it incorrectly called back) against romania, and setup what was the pk against france. but he needed a real striker as a partner upfront. and someone behind them to play the way totti did.

now we have rumours of lippi making a comeback with totti & nesta coming out of retirement. who knows..

Turkey can be proud of the campaign for sure.. i wont say "bad luck" coz you can control the suspensions atleast.. having said that.. even if they dont win the cup.. they have won a lot of hearts.. they played in the last minutes like they were possessed.. gave us finishes like we see in hollywood sport movies!! and made a lot of memories.. Euro08 might be rem as the year Turkey kept coming back)

Sorry! meant no offence.. im just like this.. say what i mean.. straight forward! You are right Italy and France both did bad.. you are forgetting the current champs.. Greece.. they had a shocker! :p But there is a level of play we expect to see from the world champs.. and Italy is just not showing us anything that would justify them being the world champs since they won the worldcup. Its bad for the game :(

Yeaaaaaaah!!! :o where was Totti???? Sorry but Im out of touch on Serie A.. Why didnt Inzaghi and Vieri come? They are old.. but they get goals.. more than what Cassano and Toni did! and the real surprise was del Piero didnt sart even a single game.. seeing his form against the Dutch.. i would start him every game since.. yes.. Lippi is way better.. its all abt knowing what you have..

i really liked the discussions in this treat... up until like page 4 or something.

enjoy the euro 2008, folks. im outta here. i really dont need to watch fellow neowinians be insulted and regarded as "less worth" or whatever.

wednsdays game will be fun, so enjoy it, everyone!

cheers!

haha, totti. i think he is a great player, and fits into a spot that italy really need. never always liked his attitude/personality for some reason though.

i think a lot of people felt differently but i thought inzaghi should have been included in the 23. i know he's older and stuff, but after his injury he started scoring like crazy for milan in the final 3-4 months of the season. even if don brought him and kept him on the bench it wouldnt hurt to have him available to throw on for the last 30 minutes of a game. he brings guys like quagliarella, dinatale, borriello (who i dont mind too much), but these guys have no international experience at all. and besides dinatale never stepped on the field anyway.

ah well, on with the semis tomorrow!

please comeback.

I see that you are such a person control of everything and at an incredible maturity, i really wish we could discuss some football with you.

Good luck to your team against my team.

i dont expect a win but you never know.

Italy have parted company with coach Roberto Donadoni following their exit from Euro 2008.

BBC Sport was told of the decision by the Italian football federation (FIGC) after speculation grew around Donadoni's future after the Spain loss.

He signed a two-year contract extension before Euro 2008 - but it contained a 10-day get-out clause on both sides.

Italy lost their quarter-final 4-2 on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes of play

It was bound to happen... imho

I don't think anyone was satisfied with the way Italy played... People had much higher expectations...

I think what was most surprising was how bad Italy played against Holland, that set the tone for the rest of their matches.

Scirwode

That is the right thing to do.. French should follow the Italians and bring in an attack minded coach..

Who do you think will win tomorows match? I think Germany will.

No one can say for sure with this Turkish team.. Germany has a better chance than Turks at the moment.. but you never know.. as they say game is not played on paper.. if Germans are complasent or get 1 or 2 cards early in the game or an injury and the game can turn on its head...

I think Turks will play defence and try to limit Germans to 0-1 goal and then launch near the end..

definitely. and of course the sacking was bound to happen.

i think he made very poor choice with the opening game lineup. throughout the tournament they lacked the offense to really produce goals. but the defense setup in the first game was bad choice. materazzi & barzagli really shouldnt have been in the center like that. losing cannvaro really hurt them. it showed with holland especially with those 2 goals being on the counter attack, how poorly those guys did in the center defense.

    • OpenAI is now rolling out Lockdown Mode to more ChatGPT users by Pradeep Viswanathan Back in February, OpenAI first announced Lockdown Mode for users who want the most comprehensive protection from potential attacks. At the time of the announcement, the company mentioned that this feature was available to a small set of highly security-conscious users, including executives or security teams at leading organizations. Today, OpenAI announced that Lockdown Mode is now rolling out to all personal ChatGPT accounts, including Free, Go, Plus, and Pro, and also self-serve ChatGPT Business accounts. Users can enable the feature from ChatGPT Settings > Security when it is available for their account. When Lockdown Mode is enabled, ChatGPT limits or disables several features that connect to the web or external services. These include live web browsing, Deep Research, Agent Mode, and more. Here is the complete list of services that will be disabled in Lockdown Mode: Live web browsing: Web browsing is limited to accessing only cached content. Search results may be limited, unavailable, or stale. Image support: ChatGPT may not display images in regular responses or retrieve images from the web. Users can still upload image files, and image generation remains available where it is otherwise available. Deep research: Deep research is disabled. Agent mode: Agent mode is disabled. Canvas networking: Users cannot approve Canvas-generated code to access the network. File downloads: ChatGPT cannot download files for data analysis. ChatGPT can still operate on your manually uploaded files. It is important to note that Lockdown Mode does not completely block prompt injections from appearing in content that ChatGPT processes. For example, a malicious instruction could still be present in an uploaded file or cached web content. However, the mode is designed to reduce the ways such an attack could send sensitive information outside the conversation. Along with Lockdown Mode, OpenAI today also announced that the Active sessions feature is now available across ChatGPT accounts and workspace types. This feature allows users to review where their account is signed in across devices and end sessions if required. A session will have the following information displayed: Device or browser information. First-party app context, such as ChatGPT, Codex, or API Platform. Approximate location. Sign-in date and time. Whether the device is a trusted device. Whether it is your current session. OpenAI highlighted that the Active sessions feature will not be available for accounts linked to an organization’s single sign-on setup, including SAML or OIDC.
    • with LSTC and ESU, moving to w11 or linux because w10 suddenly will not work when in reality it works and its a better choice, of course there are also developers that only test in 11 or force you to have TPM and Secure boot for the sake of "better security" in games. or most likely people is buying new PC that only ship with 11
    • with LTSC and ESU there are still viable as a stable platform not that they care and let people deal with w11 crashing and burning every month support mean shet if the platform is trash
    • Most boring game ever. Repetitive, empty, predictable, and full of cliches. Total waste of time and money, IMO.
    • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.
