Mighty Mouse - not so mighty after all?

Recommended Posts

Have to admit I just put my Mighty Mouse aside after a couple of months of use. Its flat out hopeless for gaming and strange to use with Photoshop/InDesign for some reason with but otherwise it's ok. It's also quite easy to accidentally press at the wrong time (if you're not resting your hand on it correctly) - gone back to a trusty Microsoft mouse for now though reckon I should hunt out a nice light narrow Razer gaming mouse.

I know this isn't recommended, but what I did when the scroll ball wasn't scrolling was to wipe the ball, turning it fiercely so it got wiped all the way round, with a cologne-impregnated tissue, the sort that come in foil sachets to keep them moist. It's worked a treat, at least so far (for a few weeks). I found the MM took a bit of getting used to after a Logitech one, but it looked so cool that I persevered. And now I really like that cute little scroll ball and find the mouse as a whole comfortable and easy to operate.

I think that is very close to what Apple themselves recommend.

Personally I like my Mighty Mouse, it's just a pain that it requires "maintenance" in the form of cleaning it ><

always had logitech... had some problems with the G15 (mouse button.. but that was repaired with a bit of glue and paper XD

i stepped on some other mouse trying to find it (was logitech aswell) use it for school.. and its connected on my laptop...

3 buttons still work (the most used ones) the rest just fell off XD after i stepped on it ><

and another mouse.. older then the above.. still using that one.. and it looks Really nice compared to the other 2

You see what I have for a mouse, that still works after 3 years (and hooked up to my Mac)?

Logitech Click! Optical Mouse USB. Works perfectly fine, I have never had any problems with this.

I had that mouse for four years back in 2002-2006. Wonderful equipment there. Apple's mighty mouse ain't bad at all either. Pick what suits you best

hard to believe Apple would use such a POS for its OE mouse....

I bet the next re-work of their machines brings a new mouse with it...they have to be aware that 95% of people hate that thing...

I don't think the Mighty Mouse was as hated as the puck mouse.

So everytime you want to scroll a webpage you take your and off the mouse, and use the trackpad? man.... that's a real burden.

I don't know about you, but I'm sure PureLegend has two hands. One on the mouse, one on the trackpad to scroll. That's what I do.
