i think it would add a whole bunch of unnecessary skus. think about the complication of a customer going into a retailer "i need a magsafe power adapter and a mighty mouse" the retailer responds "okay what wattage for the adapter? bluetooth mighty mouse or wired mighty mouse? would you like the adapter in black and the mighty mouse in white? or would you like the mighty mouse in black and the adapter in white? or do you want them both black? or both white?"

:(

Hell Yeah, A Black iMac, Black Mighty Mouse and Black Keyboard would do nicely :D

The only reason I paid for the most expensive MacBook was because it was Black... so is my wallpaper (as in the walls of my room), and so are all my clothes :D

Same reason I bought the Black MacBook too.

My clothes too :D

No. It would create confusion across product lines and complicate logistics for no good reason. It would take away from the "everything on a Mac is simple".

People who buy a time capsule or airport will still buy it even if it's not black, and they will still buy the Mac even if the mighty mouse is white. It's very likely that the revenue not earned by not making the products black is less than the opportunity cost, especially when there are so many compatible third party suppliers.

My vote goes to a No on this one.

Apple prides itself on having a limited number of SKU's which make product selection easy for its customers. If Apple started adding Black Accessories then you'd also start seeing the desire to have Brushed Aluminum accessories or whatever color that is released in the future which could potentially triple the number of products that Apple would need to manufacture as well as provide stock for.

K.I.S.S. (Keep it stupidly simple)

I always thought it was Keep It Simple Stupid.

Was what I was tought in Business anywho :p

If I had a Blackbook I think I'd want a black mouse and accessories, so I voted yes. I think that they could keep it to those accessories used directly with the black Macbook though - such as mouse, adaptors - whilst leaving other things as they are (like iPod docks, Time Capsule).

For me, I like my black Lenovo Thinkpad; I guess it depends on whether you view your computer as a fashion statement or as a device to get work done. For me, I didn't care whether people knew I had an Apple MacBook (when I owned one) nor do I care whether people know I have a thinkpad or not.

An that's exactly why I bought the Logitech VX Nano instead of the mighty mouse, well that and more functionality/buttons ;)

When I buy a black iPod, I'd like to have black earbuds.

Same here. I use Sony earbuds with mine when I'm not wearing cans. They sound better too.

    • Wow, spoken like a true blind hater, you don't even provide arguments. Please, go check my comment above to @seacaptain and you'll find out why what you say doesn't make sense in this context...
    • Get used to this, with AI tooling now uncovering new vulns and getting them exploitable far faster than has ever been possible before software is going to need to be updated far more frequently. Back in the day it may take reseachers weeks or months to do what AI can now do in hours. Once its a threat is discovered it's weaponsized far more quickly, meaning you simply can't be waiting 2, 3, 4 weeks to deploy a patch, it needs to be patched immediately. Going to be interesting handling this in the enterprise space where traditionally patching has been steady, but very staged (and rightly so up until now), that is going to have to change.
    • You don't need to "close all browser sessions constantly" or wait for updates to install. The updates download in the background while you use the browser, without interrupting you, they install automatically the next time you launch the app. And they install very fast (depending on your storage speeds, of course), you have to wait at most 2-3 extra seconds, if any. Seems like you haven't used Edge in a loooooooong time...
