Skipping when listening to music- Sounds like possibly a driver issue, but you used both your wireless and your wired connection. This may sound crazy but download and burn a live Cd of linux and see how it runs it.

I recommend either DSL linux or Puppy Linux they are lightweight distro's- Yes I know -- You have issues with downloading- but if you know someone - or have a different computer- To download them to- DSL linux is around 50mb and puppy is around 80mb.

That would tell us if it is a hardware issue or driver issue.

Did you try creating a new user... to see if it is profile corruption?

If not then do that and see if it is reproducible under the new user.

sorry for the late reply.

I recently switched over to a new user account on vista and waited to see if the jittering came back upon downloading. It appears to

be even worse when using a new user account. o_O

I just tested my speed over at speedtest.net and when it started downloading my mouse locked up and screen went black until

the test was over.

Linux? I'm not really familiar with using another operating system so I probably wouldn't try that.

edit: almost forgot.. after the download test was over and screen blacked out there was an icon on my taskbar.

error1ud0.jpg

hovering over it shows nothing... left or right clicking does nada as well. o_o I went into the customize notifications

area to see what it was listed as and it said <no title>

I have had the same problem that you have. I was using ZoneAlarm (Security Suite) and i uninstalled and everything went back to normal. I am guessing it has to do with the Services that ZoneAlarm installed, even when the program was not running the services maybe were active and they were causing all this trouble. Anyway i think you should give it a try at this point.
