Let's Talk Carry Cases!

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I am rather interested what carry cases people own. I was looking at one on the internet but am not sure if I like the one strap thing. I have decided I wouln't like a small "shoe box" type either.

I also am weary on security as all the bags seem to say easy access is a feature - surely a feature for a thief to? I'll only have two lenses really as I have seen you can get ones that carry tripods and everything!

What do you have?

I use a Lowepro Slingshot 100 AW for carrying my kit around normally. I like quick access to it all, and I don't carry that much.

When I travel, I pack the Slingshot in the case with clothes to bulk it out, and carry the camera + laptop + hand luggage in a Lowepro CompuDayPack. Both bags are great. I rarely carry my tripod or monopod, but when I do I just tend to carry it freehand.

I'd highly recommend the Slingshot. It gives you quick easy access to a SLR, and you can use it to lean on slightly when taking shots (leaving it around your front mid-section). I usually carry my Canon 400D & 70-300mm lens in the main compartment, and my pocket Point-&-Shoot camera in the front pouch, leaving room for sunglasses and other day stuff in the top pouch.

I'm guessing from the responses on here that Lowepro tend to be a very popular choice.

Update: Just re-read your post. That Slingshot case you're looking at is the same as what I've got. I'd HIGHLY recommend them. I was skeptical before purchasing one, but now I'd never go back. I know quite a few other guys who use them too.

Well, it arrived yesterday and I set it up today.

To be honest, I wish I had got the bigger version as it does look a bit small, but then as it just needs my camera, one lens and a couple of accessories, then it's alright :)

Definatly a good choice :)

Ohh did you get a Slingshot in the end? :D

How are you finding it (how you've had a day or so with it)?
