3.1 will add features. The 3.1 pre-alpha is already scoring 79 on the acid3 test. 3.0.1 is just a security update.

Anyway, text-shadow comes in 3.1, it's not too far away!

I went back to 2.0 FF.. had 5+ crashes per browsing session. Also, it has issues loading large webpages (newsgroup web index etc)

Firefox 3 runs perfectly stable for me. Check your list of extensions for the potential source of the crashes.

Try updating to the latest release of Flash 10.

Firefox keeps crashing randomly on me. Very irritating! Something to do with data execution prevention. Hope this will be fixed with an update.

The only problem I have with FF3 is that the Flash plugin doesn't seem to want to work. It was no big deal as I just used the offline installer but it was still a problem. Other than that, loving Firefox 3 so far.

Those of you having a ridiculous amount of random crashes: Are you running Kaspersky? If so, that's the problem. Kaspersky is working on a fix, but for the time being, you can use Autoruns to disable the mzvkbd.dll module of Kaspersky to fix it. I haven't had a single crash since I did that.

hope they've also managed to pay some attention to that annoying text bug which causes parts of words especially 'e's and 's's to be cut off.
