I think it's good that metal (Scrap and Reclaimed at least) is also found randomly with the weapons, you don't really need 81 weapons, you just need a bit of luck.

That's what happens when you play on an instant-respawn server. There's no time to give the drops on a instant-respawn server, so a player can accumulate them, then when they join a normal server they will get them all at once.

So, turns out an experimental implementation of bots was added to TF2 with this update, and they're quite good (not surprising, same tech as CS:S bots and the L4D horde/SI)

Well gave this game as long as I could. I think it's awful. Played it for a hr, got pummeled in to the floor each time. EVE Online was more fun. ;/

It takes time to get use to, its not like CS:S where every person is virtually the same and just has different weapons. In TF2 people have different amounts of health, movement speed and weapons (along with other abilities specific to their class), making it much more challenging than many other FPS games because you have to figure out what class you are dealing with and the best way to deal with their abilities every time you encounter an enemy.

It is getting annoying, started doing some crafting to get rid of some of the dupes I got last night, then the steam servers lose connection and I am halted in my crafting.

It's a decently fun game. Dont know about the non traditional FPS aspects of it though as I never encountered them.

Bug currently with spies, they can place a dispenser but lose their sapper.

Make sure you're choosing the correct aspect ratio (underneath the list of resolutions in-game).

+1, for that resolution the correct aspect ratio is 16x9.

I honestly do not know why Valve didn't just make 1 long resolution list showing all resolutions your monitor supports. Would have made it a bit easier to change between different aspect ratios and resolutions.
