yeah it seems you can do it with anything but bullets.

All projectiles except syringes.

That being said, my best reflect kill wasn't from a reflected arrow, though I have gotten a few like that....my best (or more specifically, favorite) was reflecting a reflected rocket at roughly Granary shipping-container distance. It was me, a soldier, medic, and a few other people, then an enemy pyro at above mentioned distance. Our soldier fired a rocket at him, he reflected it back, then I reflected it back at him and hit and killed him with it. When he respawned he had to ask what just happened, then he went on to congratulate me for the quick response and awesome kill. Funny thing was it was another regular on a server who is pretty decent himself. :p

^ Was already posted, but the guy who made that video made a new one:

Epic. Just freaking epic.

Compare this to the version posted one month ago:

While I'm at it.

That was pretty amusing. Good old classic song too :p

Besides the few minor fixes to TF2 released earlier today, there was this on the newsfeed:

It's a year old, but still full of win. :D

Also, still on the dancing videos, the demoman's dance (it finally doesn't suck):

Guys I have a query that you might be able to answer for me...

What is the deal with the influx of people in game that have names like This^56^Is^12^my^13^name with loads of hats and numbers in it? I see loads of them these days, and its driving me nuts because I don't get what it means!

Ok, so that is a colour code for Modern Warfare 2, basically putting ^<number> before your name changes all text after it to that colour.

It has no relation to TF2 at all.

A bit of a warning to those who might see a random friend invite pop up:

http://www.gotfrag.com/tf2/forums/thread/433079/

I've already commented previously on this guy earlier in this thread, from his time spent in our community (then banned), to randomly jumping around communities with hacks, to impersonating a friend, to grab the first golden wrench (and then get banned again)...

I'm not sure what this means for those who play on stats-enabled servers. My SteamID and IPs are all over those :/

So what's this exactly? I only accept invites from those people who seem like cool peeps in the servers I play on. But what does it mean? Link is broken.

From what I understand, people were claiming that the person who sent the invite was getting your IP address, and causing a VAC-like ban somehow. It wasn't a VAC ban, as it didn't show up as one or anything, but people were apparently unable to join VAC-secured servers after it happened. From the sounds of it, it was IP based which meant a simple IP change is all that would be needed to get around it.

I doubt its legit, I don't see how anyone could stop an IP from connecting to a VAC secured server without getting into Steams servers, and as its not a VAC ban I don't see how it could be done any other way....

Technically it'd be more accurate to say that this is the color code for games based on idtech 3 or 4 such as quake 3/doom 3. It just so happens that mw2 is the most popular title based on a modified idtech at the moment.

Updates to Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source and Day of Defeat: Source have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Source Engine Changes (CS:S, DoD:S, TF2)

  • Optimizations to multi-core rendering
  • Removed -heapsize command line argument. Some detail: This command made sense in Half-Life 1?s memory manager. The current engine manages memory in a way that doesn?t need it specified. Under some circumstances, specifying a non-optimal heapsize causes crashes and/or reduced performance
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed people to send fake VAC messages to clients

Do some testing and post back if the multi-core optimizations helped, it apparently helped a huge amount in systems with a multi-core CPU and a good GPU when it was only added to the CS:S Beta, but I am on a laptop with a mid-range mobile GPU so I can't really test it right now.

I would test, but I get 60+ FPS constant, so I don't see the need to turn it on personally :s

Must've been because of that guy above in post 4192... lol.

Will test in a bit. If they can get it as smooth as Left 4 Dead 2 then it's a miracle.

Yeah, the one claiming "Valve can't fix/stop it" and what not.....I wasn't sure exactly how it worked, but I knew it wasn't an actual VAC ban.

I doubt it will be that smooth since the TF2 team is keeping DX8 support, but it should help if you were CPU limited (those with high-end GPUs).

    • Sorry to be that guy but, Given Trump won again even after a failed first term it would appear attacking the other side is how to gain Government in America. Voters when it came down to it didn't give a s**t about those Democratic achievements and voted for Trump over an intelligent, qualified mixed race woman. We need to face up to this uncomfortable reality. There are more Americacan voters who support racism and christian bigotry along with defending and supporting pedophilia, adjudicated rapists, multiple time convicted felons etc than those who don't. Btw, that is how the world sees America now. Not that Trump voters care as they attempt to cocoon themselves in a white supremacy bubble.
    • That's not clickbait. Clickbait is headlines like, "You'll never guess what this person looks like now" for example. For goodness sake, take a look around the internet if you think this is clickbait. How do sites survive if people don't click through to articles? How many people in all honesty would have clicked this if it had your suggested headline? You and those upvoting your post won't be happy until the web is a couple of hundred websites all behind a paywall.
